The mast positioning apparatus includes a bottom mast support spreader having a first end that is adapted to be pivotably connected to the bottom mast section at a first spreader end pinned connection and a mast erection apparatus having a first end that is adapted to be pivotably connected to the bottom mast support spreader at a first mast erection apparatus pinned connection.

The modular assembly comprising: a plurality of portal frames, each portal frame comprising two columns and a roof beam, each column and roof beam comprising a plurality of pre-assembled units; a jack-up frame for each column; at least two first rails, each of the first rails being mounted to at least one of the roof beams; at least one second rail slidably mounted to the at least two first rails; and a plurality of panels of a flexible material configured to provide a full enclosure of the site and mounted above the roof beam. The or each second rail is configured to slidably receive at least one lifting device. The pre-assembled units are configured to be connected on site, and lifted using said jack-up frames, to form the portal frames, and wherein each first rail, and the or each second rail are configured to be mounted on the portal frames on site.

There is provided a method for constructing a cylindrical tank, including the step of assembling a metal inner tank by individually and sequentially conducting, on an internal side of a PC wall, raising of an inner tank lateral plate by a jack-up unit and welding of a next-stage inner tank lateral plate onto a lower section of the raised inner tank lateral plate, further including the step of installing a guide pair configured to sandwich the raised inner tank lateral plate onto the next-stage inner tank lateral plate that is to be welded therebeneath. As a result, in the case of adopting the jack-up construction system, it is possible to prevent an inner tank lateral plate from being attached next from falling.

The system further contains a plurality of lifting assemblies with at least one post. Each lifting assembly is configured to vertically displace at least one column of the plurality of columns. The system can also have a truss that binds the plurality of lifting assemblies by connecting at least one post of the adjacent lifting assemblies. The plurality of lifting assemblies vertically displaces the columns of a first tier of columns to allow placement of additional tier consisting of a plurality of columns under the displaced columns of the first tier.
