A canopy for selectively covering an area, such as a sports field includes at least two beams which span the area, at least two cross beams which are displaceable along the beams, a cloth which is attached to the cross beams, a drive which is configured to displace the cross beams with the cloth attached thereto along the beams, and a substantially flexible tensioning member fastened between the cross beams.

An installation for covering and uncovering a surface includes a series of slats of adjustable inclination supported by pivot pins via a set having a first carriage and a second carriage. A movement system has, for each head slat, movement motors on board the first and second carriages. A retractable roof structure includes first and second roof support structures separated by a span distance, with first and second roof sections supported on the first and second roof support structures. A load transfer structure is configured to transfer load from a frame of the second roof section downwardly through a frame and truss structure of the first roof section to the first and second roof support structures.

Disclosed is a covering device with mobile panels, in particular for a pergola, including a support, cover, and positioning unit. A retractable tent has been presented herein. The retractable tent is designed for using with one or more sleep, work, or living space devices. The retractable tent may be extended from one position to another position according to usage preferences of a user. The retractable tent may be installed or arranged or fixed with one or more interior or exterior furniture such as a bed, a couch, a chair, a table, or the like. The retractable tent may be installed or arranged or fixed in various areas such as bedrooms, offices, living rooms, outdoor living areas, or the like. The retractable tent may be used as a home theater platform, a gaming platform, and a virtual reality platform. Further, the retractable tent may be facilitated or designed in different shapes such as a rectangular shape, a dome shape, a half-dome shape, or the like.

A foldable roof, including a plurality of elongated plates, for being disposed one aside the other, and a plurality of supporting members each for supporting one of the elongated plates, where each two adjacent supporting members of the supporting members are pivotally connected to one another, thereby allowing deploying and folding the elongated plates, and for each of the plates and its supporting member, gravity disposition elements configured to allow perpendicular displacement between the plate and the supporting member while limiting parallel displacement therebetween, thereby at any state of the foldable roof except for a folded state, each plate is connected to the supporting member thereof by gravity only.

A cover assembly may include a housing and an elongated cover. The housing defines a chamber therein. The chamber is disposable in the ground adjacent to a side of the sand area of the jump pit. The elongated cover has a first end, a second end, and spaced-apart sides extending from the first end to the second end. The elongated cover is storable in a compacted configuration in the chamber of the housing below the surface of the ground, and the elongated cover is removable from the chamber and extendable in an uncompacted configuration over the sand area of the jump pit to conceal the sand area.
