20230003018 · 2023-01-05 ·

This invention relates to a modular walling system. The system includes a plurality of primary structural members. Each primary structural member has a generally channel-shaped cross-sectional profile with an outer wall defining surface and two flanges extending away from the outer wall defining surface. The system further includes a securing means which is configured to apply a securing force to retain pairs of primary structural members in a side-by-side relationship. The securing means is configured to secure adjacent flanges of respective pairs of the primary structural members such that the adjacent flanges are held together in secure face-to-face abutment by the securing force. A primary corner member having a solid construction is connectable between a first primary structural member with its outer wall defining surface extending in a first direction, and a second primary structural member with its outer wall defining surface extending in a second direction.

STRUCTURAL INSULATED PANEL (SIP) FOR A MODULAR BUILDING
20230014699 · 2023-01-19 · ·

A structural insulated panel, SIP, (101) for a building (100) in which the SIP is attachable to another such SIP (101) to provide a structure of the building (100). The SIP (101) comprises a frame (200), a first board (208) attached to a first face of the frame (200), a second board (209) attached to a second face of the frame (200) and an insulating layer (401) bounded by the frame (200) and the first (208) and second boards (209). The frame (200) is fibre-reinforced plastic, FRP. The frame (200) has a joining surface that faces away from the centroid of the SIP (101) so as to be mateable with a joining surface of a frame of another such SIP (101).

METAL REINFORCED BOARD

The invention relates to a hollow board material comprising a first sheet and a second sheet. A first and a second lath are arranged in parallel between the first sheet and the second sheet along opposite edges of the hollow board material. The first lath and the first sheet are attached to each other by means of a first metal gripping lamina which at least partly covers the first lath. The second lath and the first sheet are attached to each other by means of a second metal gripping lamina which at least partly covers the first lath. Optionally, the first lath and the second sheet are attached to each other by means of a third metal gripping lamina and optionally the second lath and the second sheet are attached to each other by means of a fourth metal gripping lamina. The metal gripping laminas have a first face and a second face which are opposed to each other. Each face comprises a plurality of sharp projections extending substantially perpendicular therefrom and into the laths or the sheets respectively. The metal gripping laminas thereby provides a hollow board material and increases the bending strength of the hollow board material. The invention further relates to a furniture comprising said hollow board material and method for producing said hollow board material.

Panel for sheathing system and method

The panel includes a water resistant barrier layer secured atop its outward facing surface. The water resistant barrier layer includes a skid resistant surface. The panels are made of lignocellulosic material. The water resistant and skid resistant surface may include indicia for aligning strips of tape or for aligning fasteners. A method for manufacturing the water resistant building panels is also disclosed and includes the steps of feeding paper onto a forming belt, depositing lignocellulosic material and the binding agent onto the forming belt so as to form a lignocellulosic mat, applying heat and pressure so as to impart the skid resistant surface on the paper, and cutting panels to predetermined sizes.
