Mission configurable shelter
A lightweight transportable containerized shelter includes wall panels made of a non-metal composite material coated at least on its inner face with a metal layer for EMI protection. The several wall panels are secured to a metal structural frame without the use of fasteners so as to define a containerized transportable shelter. The shelter meets ISO standards 668 and 1496. The shelter provides a continuous barrier to electromagnetic signals. Moreover, the containerized shelter is amenable to nine high stacking as required for ISO certification.
Wall Construction with Laminated Insulation Panels and Spacer Boards Forming Insulative Air-Filled Voids
An exterior wall features interior and exterior insulation layers that comprise facer-laminated foam insulation panels having battens recessed into foam cores thereof at interior and exterior faces of the interior and exterior layers, respectively. A first set of spacer boards between the insulation layers provide an offset therebetween, and thereby create an array of air-filled void spaces for further insulative effect. At the interior side of the interior panels, a second set of spacer boards are installed for offset mounting of interior finishings (e.g. drywall) thereto, thereby creating another insulative array of air-filled void spaces between the interior insulation panels and the interior finishings. Exterior cladding placed directly over the exterior insulation panels is fastened to the battens thereof. On-site construction with a framing nailer is fast and convenient, creating a thermally efficient wall without need for batting insulation, poly sheeting vapour barrier, building wrap or exterior sheathing.
METHOD OF FORMING VERTICAL WALL AROUND WINDOW FRAME
The method for pouring concrete around a window frame begins by spraying a flat surface with a release, followed by positioning window assemblies on the flat surface. The window assemblies include at least a frame, and also possibly a sash, glazing and removable bracing. The window assemblies are secured to the flat surface and then concrete is poured around the window assembly to form a wall. Once the concrete cures around the frame, the bracing is removed, and the wall is tilted/lifted to a vertical position.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR A WALL ASSEMBLY HAVING AN ACOUSTIC PANEL
Various embodiments for a wall assembly having an acoustic panel defining a plurality of thru-holes that act to break low density mechanically coupled pathways for sound transmission through the acoustic panel for reducing sound transmission are disclosed herein.
Modular Panel System
A modular panel is provided and includes a sill plate, a top plate, a plurality of vertical studs, and having at least one skin applied to a major face of the modular panel that presents a first edge having a waveform profile configured to connect to an opposing edge of an adjacent modular panel. At least one of the vertical studs is an end stud having a connector element configured to be secured to a complementing connector of the adjacent modular panel. Two or more of the modular panels may be connected together to form part of a shelter.
METHOD OF MANUFACTURING A PREFAB CONSTRUCTION ELEMENT
The invention relates to a method of manufacturing a prefab construction element (11), preferably a load-bearing element, for frame construction, such as wood frame construction, comprising the steps of providing a roofing, flooring or wall panel (2), which panel (2) comprises an enclosure (3), providing a fungus and a substrate, introducing or preparing a mixture (10) of the fungus and the substrate, in the enclosure (3) and allowing the fungus to grow to form a network of hyphae through the mixture (10) and into the walls (4-7) of the enclosure (3) to form a mycelium composite, and drying the composite while it remains in the enclosure (3) of the panel (2).
Modular building system
A modular building system, includes a modular building assembly, including a base mounting structure with first and second base angle brackets; a left receiving wall assembly, including a left primary wall assembly, and left front and left rear corner brackets; a right primary wall assembly, and right front and right rear corner brackets; and front and rear wall assemblies; and a platform with legs; such that the modular building assembly is positionable on a top surface of the platform.
PRECAST BUILDING PANEL
A method of constructing a reinforced concrete floor structure or wall structure, including: fabricating a precast panel substantially from concrete including a first set of parallel conduits extending through the panel, wherein the conduits open to opposite sides of the panel; moving the panel into its final position on a building site; and inserting tensioning cables through the conduits and tensioning the precast panel in the direction of the conduits to form a reinforced floor structure or wall structure, and a dowel connecting system for joining adjacent precast building panels, the system comprising elongated hollow dowel members cast in at the edges of two or more precast building panels such that when the building panels are positioned adjacent to each other their respective dowel members are co-linearly aligned; and a dowel piece to be inserted into a recess of the co-linearly aligned dowel members and to extend across the building panels, wherein the recess of the dowel members is adapted to be filled with grout to anchor the dowel piece therein and thereby structurally joining adjacent building panels.
PANEL FOR A FLOOR OR WALL AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING ONE SUCH PANEL
Panel for a floor or wall comprising a first board (2), a second board (3) and an intermediate third board (4) fitted between the first and second boards (2, 3), the intermediate third board (4) comprising a thermal insulating material, the first and second boards (2, 3) comprising a material that is able to harden in which organic elements of vegetal origin (5) are sunk.
Partition system
A partition system includes a plurality of wall elements merging one into another, wherein at least one wall element is designed as a stepped element, and wherein at least one wall element is designed as a corner element.
