ROOFING MEMBRANE WITH IMPACT DETECTION FEATURES
Some embodiments of the present technology may encompass roofing membranes. The roofing membranes may include a waterproof membrane having a top major surface. The roofing membranes may include a first liner having a top surface and a bottom surface. The bottom surface of the first liner may be removably coupled with the top major surface of the waterproof membrane. The first liner may have a first color. The roofing membranes may include a second liner having a top surface and a bottom surface. A bottom surface of the second liner may be coupled with the top surface of the first liner. The second liner may have a second color that is different than the first color.
Roofing material with patterned adhesive
Some embodiments of the present disclosure relate to a roofing system. In some embodiments, the roofing system includes a first roofing material, wherein the first roofing material comprises a top surface and a bottom surface. In some embodiments, the top surface of the first roofing material comprises a nail zone with a plurality of fines. In some embodiments, the roofing system includes a second roofing material, wherein the second roofing material comprises a top surface and a bottom surface. In some embodiments, the bottom surface of the second roofing material comprises a plurality of fines. In some embodiments, the roofing system comprises and a patterned adhesive, which directly contacts at least a portion of the plurality of fines in the nail zone and at least a portion of the plurality of fines on the bottom surface of the second roofing material.
SHEET MATERIAL FOR ROOFING WITH WATER-BASED ADHESIVE BACK COATING
A sheet material for roofing to be installed on a roof under an overlayment comprising a closed-weave woven having a top side and a back side; a thermoplastic layer affixed on the top side; and a water-based adhesive coating affixed on the back side. The sheet material is manufactured as a roll in which the thermoplastic layer isolates the water-based adhesive coating from an immediate environment when the sheet material is in a roll form.
ROOFING MEMBRANES WITH IMPROVED ADHESIVE BONDING STRENGTH
Systems and methods are described herein for manufacturing and using roofing membranes that are faster and easier to install than conventional adhesive-only membrane materials. In some embodiments, membrane materials are surface treated using a plasma flow, e.g., a blown-arc plasma flow, atmospheric plasma, corona plasma, or from portable plasma units, generated by passing a compressed plasma-generating gas through an electrical current to form the plasma-treated roofing membrane. The plasma treatments described herein may be applied as part of the manufacturing process, or in-situ at the site of roof installation. In some embodiments, membrane materials have surface chemistries, roughnesses and other surface characteristics that yield desired adhesion properties.
Photovoltaic module for a roof with continuous fiber tape
Some embodiments of the present disclosure relate to photovoltaic module for use on a roof. In some embodiments, the photovoltaic module may include a solar cell and a polymeric continuous fiber tape. In some embodiments, the polymeric continuous fiber tape comprises a polymer and glass fiber. In some embodiments, the glass fiber is present in an amount greater than about 50% by weight based on a total weight of the polymeric continuous fiber tape. In some embodiments, the polymeric continuous fiber tape comprises an elastic modulus greater than 1 GPa and an optical transmission greater than 80%.
ADHERED ROOF STRUCTURE WITH TWO COMPONENT ADHESIVES
A roof structure comprises a roof membrane and a roof substrate. A first surface of the roof membrane is adhered to the roof substrate by a two component adhesive, the adhesive being capable of adhering the first surface of the roof membrane to the roof substrate without the use of a high VOC solvent. The two component adhesive includes a Michael donor and a Michael acceptor, and the Michael donor and the Michael acceptor react to form an adhesive film.
METHOD OF USING A SELF ADHERING ROOFING MEMBRANE
A method of covering a roof deck involves adhering a preformed, self adhering single ply roofing membrane which includes a water impermeable membrane, a pressure sensitive, hot melt adhesive adhered to one side of the water impermeable membrane, and a release liner on the side of the pressure sensitive, hot melt adhesive opposite of the water impermeable membrane.
ROOFING PUTTY, METHODS AND SYSTEMS UTILIZING THE SAME
Some embodiments of the present disclosure relate to a roofing putty. In some embodiments, the roofing putty is a formulation that comprises at least one polysiloxane, at least one silane, and at least one filler. Some embodiments of the present disclosure relate to a system comprising the roofing putty and at least one roof substrate. Some embodiments of the present disclosure relate to a method of using the roofing putty, such as, but not limited to, by disposing the roofing putty on at least one roof substrate.
POLYCHLOROPRENE-BASED BONDING ADHESIVES
An adhesive composition comprising a solids component, said solids component including a rubber component that includes polychloroprene; and a solvent component, said solvent component including t-butyl acetate.
Adhesive composition for use in roofing materials
A moisture curable, non-bitumen based and non-asphaltic based adhesive includes an extender, a compatibilizer, and a polymer, wherein the polymer includes reactive silyl groups.
