NANOEMULSIONS COMPRISING SULFOALKYL ESTER AND/OR AMIDE OF FATTY ACIDS IN AQUEOUS PHASE
The present invention relates to novel oil-in-water pumpable nanoemulsions. The oil phase contains oil selected from the group consisting of triglyceride oil and/or petrolatum as well as C.sub.8 to C.sub.18 fatty acid; and the aqueous phase contains sulfoalkyl ester and/or amide of fatty acids as emulsifier.
COSMETIC COMPOSITION COMPRISING TWO SPECIFIC CATIONIC SURFACTANTS AND A SILICONE EMULSION, AND A COSMETIC TREATMENT PROCESS
The present invention relates to a cosmetic composition comprising:
(i) cationic surfactants of formula (Ia):
##STR00001##
in which:
R5 and R6 represent a linear or branched, saturated or unsaturated C8-C30 aliphatic group optionally comprising heteroatoms; or else an aromatic group,
R7 and R8 represent a linear or branched C1-C6 aliphatic group, and
Y.sup.− is an anion;
(ii) additional cationic surfactants, different from the cationic surfactants of formula (Ia), and
(iii) an oil-in-water emulsion having a particle size D50 of less than 350 nm, comprising a polydialkylsiloxane comprising trialkylsilyl end groups, an aminosilicone and a non-ionic surfactant having an HLB ranging from 10 to 16.
The invention also relates to a cosmetic process for treating, more particularly for conditioning, the hair.
USE OF A PEPTIDE FOR THE TREATMENT OF EPIDERM
A peptide having the general Formula (1)
X-(Xaa).sub.nK*TFK*-(Xaa).sub.m-Z (1)
is described, where the peptide helps preserve or improve the condition of the epidermis and wherein X, (Xaa).sub.n, (Xaa).sub.m, n, m, K* and Z are as defined.
Personal care compositions comprising poorly soluble compounds
A water-in-oil personal care emulsion with water droplets size below 20 microns, the droplets containing solubilized cystine. A process of making an emulsion is also described.
NANO EMULSION PROCESS FOR SCENTED LIQUIDS
Methods and devices for formulating scented nanoemulsions and dispersing one or more scents is disclosed. In some embodiments, the method includes providing a first mixture including water and a water surfactant, providing a second mixture including a fragrance material and an fragrance surfactant, mixing the first and second mixtures to create a temporary emulsion, and performing one or more high-energy homogenizations to the temporary emulsion until one or more desired physical properties of a resulting nanoemulsion are obtained. In some embodiments, the one or more high-energy homogenizations includes microfludization, sonication, and high-shear mixing. In some embodiments, the resulting nanoemulsion may thereafter be dispersed as a scent via an aerosolizing device. In some embodiments, the aerosolizing device may disburse scents in response to actions and/or events experienced in an AV/AR system.
Pituitous silicone emulsions
The present invention provides methods for preparing emulsions of silicone fluids having pituitous rheological properties. The present invention also provides emulsions of a silicone fluid having pituitous rheological properties and composition comprising the emulsions. The compositions include, but are not limited to, personal care compositions and compositions for hair shampoo, hair conditioner, hair treatment composition, or skin care product.
Co-emulsification composition containing various emulsification particle sizes and method for preparing same
Disclosed are: a co-emulsified composition containing different emulsification particle sizes; and a method for preparing the same. The co-emulsified composition contains an amphipathic anisotropic power and a surfactant, thereby allowing emulsification particles with different sizes to coexist in one dosage form, and thus a co-emulsified composition can be provided that simultaneously implements two or more feelings of use or physical characteristics.
TRANSPARENT NANOEMULSIONS COMPRISING LAURIC OIL
The invention relates to oil-in-water emulsion in which specific oils (e.g., lauric oils) are used in the oil phase while surprisingly maintaining excellent transparency. In one aspect, said emulsions comprise fatty acid in oil phase. In a separate co-pending application, the invention comprises an energy efficient process for making said fatty acid containing transparent nanoemulsions.
Oil-in-water type organopolysiloxane emulsion and method for producing same, cosmetic raw material, and cosmetic product
Disclosed is an oil-in-water type organopolysiloxane emulsion that is stable and has smaller particle diameters for a long period of time even in cases where a low-polarity organopolysiloxane and a cationic surfactant are used. The emulsion comprises: (A) 100 parts by weight of a diorganopolysiloxane having a viscosity of 2 to 100,000 mPa.Math.s at 25 C., (B) 0.5 to 30 parts by weight of a cationic surfactant, (C) 0.1 to 10 parts by weight of a nonionic surfactant, and (D) 11 to 550 parts by weight of water, wherein a content of component (C) is equal to or less than a content of component (B), and wherein an average particle diameter of component (A) in the emulsion is 600 nm or less. Related methods and cosmetics are also disclosed.
