Method for Applying Graphic Product to Hardwood Floor
A system and method for installing a graphic design on a flooring surface, where a vinyl decal displaying the graphic design is applied to a flooring surface that has been coated with multiple layers of sealer, and where after application of the vinyl decal to the sealed floor, one or more additional layers of sealer are applied to the floor, covering the vinyl decal and the areas surrounding the vinyl decal, and finally one or more layers of floor finish are applied to the surface to result in a finished floor displaying the graphic design. Application of the vinyl decal may vary depending on characteristics of the graphic design, with some applications using a specially designed applicator device, some applications using a wet application method, and other applications using a hinged application method.
Magnetic Flooring System Adhesive Composition
A liquid adhesive coating composition that cures into a solid form, used to non-permanently adhere interior floor or wall coverings to substrate floor or wall surfaces respectively, includes a polymer incorporating iron or other paramagnetic, superparamagnetic, ferromagnetic, or ferrimagnetic ingredients, that becomes permanently adhered to the substrate as it cures, and thereafter provides a low-tack adhesive surface that is also magnetically attractive, upon which magnetized floor or wall coverings including certain types of carpet, linoleum, vinyl, wallpaper, and other types of magnetically-backed coverings can be subsequently installed. The combined low-tack adhesive and magnetic adhesion qualities of the cured composition of the invention allow for the magnetically-backed floor or wall coverings to be sufficiently well adhered to the surface of the cured adhesive composition to remain in place during normal usage while retaining the ability for the coverings to be subsequently removed, repositioned or replaced without damaging the respective coverings, adhesive coating composition layer, or substrate.

MULTI-LAYERED SHEET SUITABLE AS FLOOR OR WALL COVERING EXHIBITING A THREE-DIMENSIONAL RELIEF AND A DECORATIVE IMAGE
The present invention relates to a multi-layered sheet suitable as floor or wall covering exhibiting a three-dimensional surface relief and a decorative image, comprising: i. a support layer having an upper surface and a lower surface; ii. a foamed layer having an upper surface and a lower surface, the lower surface of the foamed layer provided adjacent, and adherent to the upper surface of the support layer, the upper surface of the foamed layer comprising a discontinuous chemically embossed relief pattern, wherein the discontinuous chemically embossed relief pattern comprises indentations formed by single or stacked dots of a digitally printed material comprising a foam inhibiting agent; and optionally iii. a decorative layer adhered to the upper surface of the foamed layer; and optionally iv. at least one wear resistant layer provided adjacent and adhered to the decorative layer; and optionally v. a backing layer provided adjacent and adhered to the lower surface of the support layer.
Custom Decorative Articles and System, Apparatus, and Method for Providing the Same
A method for determining an edge profile of a custom decorative article to be installed in an installation area is disclosed, the installation area having a perimeter having a plurality of corners. A computing device receives data indicative of a plurality of coordinates corresponding to the plurality of corners of the perimeter of the installation area. Based on at least first, second, and third coordinates respectively corresponding to first, second, and third corners of the plurality of corners of the perimeter of the installation area, the computing device determines dimensional and/or geometric characteristics of a pair of opposed portions of the edge profile that, in an installed position, are configured to meet to form a corner of the custom decorative article when installed at the second corner of the perimeter of the installation area.

GLUELESS DUSTLESS COMPOSITE FLOORING MATERIAL SYSTEM
A glueless dustless composite flooring material system providing PVC-based flooring having waterproof layers providing different qualities of hardness, wear-resistance, sound deadening, and decorative patterns, avoiding the use of moisture-susceptible compressed cellulose-based filler, with layers fused together, avoiding the manufacturing complexity and delamination risks of using glue or adhesive, with a quickly-cured, UV-cured top coating providing long-lasting high performance and shortening and simplifying the manufacturing, which can be done in a sheet-form, essentially continuous-run manner, with an ability to quickly and simply change the optional design printing and texturing produced, and having an optional underlayment layer.
Method for producing an elastomer floor covering having a decorative layer and an elastomer floor covering with a decorative layer
An exemplary method for manufacturing an elastomeric flooring comprises: providing a first rubber mixture (2); providing a decor carrier material (6) comprising areas with a decor layer (7) wherein the decor layer (7) contains a second rubber mixture; shaping the first rubber mixture (2) by converting it to a rubber web (5); applying the decor carrier material (6) comprising the decor layer (7) onto the rubber web (5), wherein the decor layer (7) comes in contact with the rubber web (5); vulcanizing the rubber web (5) with the decor layer (7) applied to it, wherein the decor layer (7) bonds to the rubber web (5); and removing the decor carrier material (6).
EMBEDDED CARBON VEIL HEATING SYSTEMS AND INSTALLATION METHODS
A heating system including a carbon veil heating element having at least two busbars embedded between opposite layers of insulating film, a connector busbar assembly having at least two connector electrical busbars and a matrix of insulation connecting them, penetrating conductive fasteners configured to protrude through the respective busbars of the heating element and the connector busbar assembly, and a controller configured to connect to the connector busbars and apply electrical current sufficient to cause the heating element to produce heat between the veil busbars. The busbars preferably have a width to thickness ratio greater than 10, more preferably greater than 100. Methods for installing the heating system are also described.
