The sulfate-free surfactant system comprises a liquid comprising an organic phase and a solvent wherein the organic phase comprises glyceride and surfactant and the liquid comprises: 4-40 wt % glyceride wherein the glyceride is the condensation reaction product of at least 1.10 moles of a mixture of acids to no more than 2.1 moles of mixture of acids per mole of glycerin; wherein mixture of acids comprises: at least 0.275 to no more than 0.990 moles of a first acid comprising a branched acid with 16-20 aliphatic carbons; at least 0.250 to no more than 0.810 moles of a second acid comprising an alkyl acid with 9-11 carbons; and at least 0.250 to no more than 0.810 moles of a third acid comprising an alkyl acid with 7-9 carbons wherein the third acid has a lower molecular weight than the second acid; and 6-45 wt % surfactant; and wherein the liquid has a BYV of at least 50 dyn/cm.sup.2.
Cosmetic cleansing compositions
According to the present invention there is provided a cosmetic composition comprising a cosmetically acceptable carrier and a surfactant system consisting of: (i) an anionic surfactant; (ii) an amphoteric surfactant; and (iii) a non-ionic surfactant, wherein the anionic surfactant is present in an amount of from about 0.5% to about 25% by weight of the surfactant system, wherein the amphoteric surfactant is present in an amount of from about 0.5% to about 50% by weight of the surfactant system, wherein the non-ionic surfactant is present in an amount of from about 0.5% to about 45% (e.g. 43%) by weight of the surfactant system, and wherein the total amount of the surfactant system present in the cosmetic composition is from about 1.5% to about 25% by weight of the composition.
COSMETIC COMPOSITION COMPRISING SPECIFIC HYPERBRANCHED COPOLYMERS AND ANIONIC EMULSIFIERS
The present invention relates to cosmetic skin care compositions which comprise a hyperbranched copolymer of the monomers dodecenyl succinic acid anhydride, diisopropanol amine and bis-dimethylaminopropyl amine having quaternary terminal groups and an anionic emulsifier. The copolymer is used in a cosmetic composition comprising the anionic emulsifier for reducing the material transfer to a contacted surface. Preferably the copolymer is polyquaternium-110.
COSMETIC COMPOSITION COMPRISING SPECIFIC HYPERBRANCHED COPOLYMERS AND NON-IONIC EMULSIFIERS BEING AN ETHER OR AN ESTER OF (POLY)ETHYLENEOXIDE
The present invention relates to cosmetic skin care compositions which comprise a hyperbranched copolymer of the monomers dodecenyl succinic acid anhydride, diisopropanol amine and bis-dimethylaminopropyl amine having quaternary terminal groups and at least one non-ionic emulsifier being an ether or an ester of (poly)ethylene glycol.
SUNSCREEN EMULSION COMPRISING SILICONE EMULSIFIER BLEND
Water-in-oil sunscreen emulsion compositions including an aqueous phase emulsified within an external fatty phase are provided. The external fatty phase includes at least one silicone fatty compound and at least about 10% by weight of organic UV filters with respect to the entire sunscreen composition. The compositions include an emulsifying silicone elastomer and a non-elastomeric silicone surfactant.
The compositions further include swellable clay and pigment.
Lyophilic colloids
A non-Newtonian, lyophilic colloid comprised of (i) at least one anionic, non-sulfated glycosaminoglycan (ANSG) having a molecular weight greater than about 500 kDa and (ii) glycerin.
COSMETIC COMPOSITIONS COMPRISING MELANOIDINS
The present application is directed to a cosmetic composition comprising melanoidins, wherein said melanoidins are characterized by having a weight average molecular weight (Mw) of from 200 daltons to 300 kDa, preferably from 1 to 300 kDa and more preferably from 1 to 100 kDa, for example from 10 to 100 kDa. The melanoidins are obtainable or are obtained by a process comprising the steps of: a) providing a particulate foodstuff which comprises melanoidins; b) treating said particulate foodstuff with an aqueous extractant solution having a pH greater than 7 to extract melanoidins as solute in the aqueous phase; c) physically separating said aqueous phase from the residual treated particulate foodstuff; d) fractionating the dispersed or dissolved components of said aqueous phase on the basis of molecular weight; and, e) dehydrating said fractionated aqueous phase to obtain at least one solid melanoidin fraction therefrom.
