Disclosed herein are oral care compositions that may include, in certain aspects, from about 40 wt. % to about 75 wt. % of a humectant; from about 5 wt. % to about 25 wt. % of an abrasive system; from about 0.3 wt. % to about 1 wt. % of a thickening system; and particles having a refractive index of from about 1.0 to about 2.5; wherein the composition is substantially free of a titanium containing material. Methods of making and using the oral care compositions are also provided.
Personal Care Formulations
Personal care compositions for improving the appearance and/or health of skin are provided herein. In accordance with an aspect, provided is a personal care formulation comprising an alpha hydroxy acid; a beta hydroxy acid; and polyhydroxy acid comprising gluconodeltalactone. According to another aspect, a personal care formulation is provided that comprises an alpha hydroxy acid; a beta hydroxy acid; and polyhydroxy acid, wherein the personal care formulation has a weight ratio of alpha hydroxy acid to polyhydroxy acid is about 5:1 to about 1:4, and wherein the personal care formulation has a weight ratio of beta hydroxy acid to polyhydroxy acid is about 1:1 to about 1:11.
Cosmetic emulsion comprising 1,2-decanediol
The present invention relates to novel cosmetic emulsions, comprising 1,2-decanediol, advantageous uses thereof and methods for their production.
Reduced hair damage during blonding through use of a biodegradable complex former
The present disclosure relates to cosmetic compositions for the oxidative treatment of keratinous fibers, in particular human hair, comprising at least one salt of a peroxo compound, at least one alkalizing agent and at least one complexing agent. Furthermore, it is an object of the present disclosure to provide a multi-component unit for the oxidative lightening of keratinous fibers, in particular human hair, comprising as first component the cosmetic agent as contemplated herein and as second component an agent comprising H.sub.2O.sub.2. In addition, the present disclosure relates to the use of a salt of a polyhydroxylated monocarboxylic acid in a cosmetic composition.
