Wall Niche Kit and Related Methods
An installation kit for the production of a niche includes a recess element including a rear wall, four side walls and a projecting frame adjoining outward edges of the side walls and extending away from a niche. At least one of the side walls includes a passage opening formed therein. An insert can be insertable into the passage opening of the side wall on the niche side, the insert defining a recessed receiving space accessible on the niche side of the side wall, the insert including an opening opposing the receiving space. At least one cover can be receivable within the insert to at least partially cover the receiving space, the cover being positionable substantially flush with the side wall.
Transition moulding
The present invention provides a transition moulding comprised of an elongate piece having three strips of adhesive material, a plurality of holes, and thin lateral beveled edges. The holes are for embedding adhesive or mortar as well as placing mechanical fasteners to secure the moulding to the sub floor. The adhesive bands are for securing the flooring material and the central adhesive band is for placing a clip that is configured and sized to hold a “T” separator placed between the two flooring materials. There is also a crease to facilitate the folding or breaking of the moulding for when it is used against a wall or at the end of a floor such as on door sills or staircase.
Wall panel trim reveal system and method
There is disclosed an improved wall panel trim reveal system and method which utilizes a set of vertical, horizontal and corner trim pieces designed to be fitted together. In an embodiment, the system includes horizontal trim pieces having at least one slope, vertical trim pieces having at least one tab forming a slot for receiving one or more horizontal trim pieces therein, wherein the horizontal and vertical trim pieces when installed together with wall panels forming a moisture drainage channel to direct moisture away from the wall.
WALL PANEL BASE TRIM AND METHOD FOR THE SAME
A wall panel base trim a panel channel extending between first and second ends. The panel channel surrounds a panel groove configured for reception of a wall panel therein. The panel channel includes a blending fin extending from the channel base, the blending fin on a second side of the panel groove. A brace ridge extends between the first and second ends, the brace ridge projects laterally relative to the panel channel. A shadow flange extends away from the panel channel in a second direction, the shadow flange and the brace ridge cooperate to form a shadow line recess.
Nonwoven joint tape having low moisture expansion properties and method for using same
The invention is directed to a joint tape for finishing a joint between boards comprising a nonwoven substrate that does not swell substantially in the presence of water. The invention further provides a method of finishing a joint between boards comprising (i) applying a joint tape of the invention to a joint between boards by embedding the joint tape in a first coat of joint compound, (ii) applying a second coat of joint compound over the tape, wherein step (ii) is carried out before the joint tape and joint compound applied in step (i) have substantially dried, and optionally (iii) applying a third fill or finish coat of joint compound over the tape, wherein step (iii) is carried out before the joint tape and second coat have substantially dried.
Flexible corner trim product
A trim piece for sealing a work surface including a body having a first side, a second side, and a span disposed between the first side and the second side, wherein the first side and the second side are joined at a junction defining an angle between the first side and the second side of between 80 degrees and 100 degrees, a topcap is affixed to the span of the body, wherein the topcap includes a left side having a first wing and a right side having a second wing, an adhesive is bonded to the first side of the body and an aperture is disposed within the body.
Structure cladding trim components and methods for fabrication and use of same
A cladding kit is provided for a structure cladding, the structure cladding comprising a first panel that extends away from a structure location along a first surface portion of the structure and a second panel that extends away from the structure location along a second surface portion of the structure. The cladding kit comprises a base piece couplable to the structure at the structure location, the base piece comprising a base connector, and a trim piece comprising first and second wings and a trim connector shaped to make a connection with the base connector to thereby couple the trim piece to the base piece. The first wing is shaped to contact, and be deformed by, the first panel when a connection is made. The second wing is shaped to contact, and be deformed by, the second panel when the connection is made.
PRECAST CLADDING PANELS WITH PROFILED PANEL EDGES
A precast cladding panel has upper and lower edges that, as viewed in transverse vertical cross-section through the panel, are profiled for overlapping engagement with complementarily-profiled edges of vertically-adjacent cladding panels in a coplanar cladding panel assembly mounted to a supporting structure. The upper edge of the panel defines a convex horizontal ridge, and the lower edge of the panel defines a concave horizontal recess, such that the convex horizontal ridge on the upper edge of one panel will project into the concave recess of the lower edge of a similar panel mounted immediately above it. The convex configuration of the upper edge of the panel promotes drainage of water out of horizontal joints between panels in the mounted assembly of cladding panels, and the overlapping engagement of vertically-adjacent panels impedes or prevents the entry of wind-driven rain into the cladding structure via the horizontal joints between panels.
BASEBOARD ELEMENTS AND RELATED METHOD
A baseboard element including a nose portion, a riser portion coupled to the nose portion, and a wall groove portion coupled to the riser portion. The nose portion includes a nose bottom section and a nose face section. The riser portion includes a riser section approximately perpendicular to the nose bottom section. The nose portion is positioned only on a first side of the riser section, and the wall groove portion is positioned only on a second side of the riser section, the second side opposite the first side. The nose bottom section comprises a nose bottom edge that is located at a terminal end of the nose bottom section and that is located closer to a plane defined by the riser section than the nose face section is to the plane. Other embodiments are also provided.
DEFORMABLE FINISHING ACCESSORY SUITABLE FOR FORMING A CONNECTION BETWEEN TWO SURFACES
A finishing accessory (1A) includes a deformable finishing profile (10) and at least one blocking part (P2A). The finishing profile (10) is suitable for making up a finishing transition between two surfaces (S1; S2), and includes two rigid wings (100; 101) that extend lengthwise parallel to a longitudinal axis (A), which are spaced from one another and which are intended to be in contact respectively with the two surfaces (S1; S2) to be connected, and a flexible hinge (102) that extends lengthwise parallel to said longitudinal axis (A), which is, at least in part, positioned between the two wings (100; 101), and which connects the two wings to one another while allowing a rotation of the two wings (100; 101) relative to one another in a plane (X, Y) perpendicular to the longitudinal axis (A). Said blocking part (P2A) includes an adjusting shim (20a), which extends lengthwise and which, once inserted into a longitudinal groove (103) of the finishing profile, is adapted to block the two wings (100; 101).
