A tool is shaped for working a mud patch in a shower enclosure. The tool has front and rear edges with sections angled relative to each other to allow easily contacting angled edges of the walls of the shower enclosure.

A caulk smoothing device is provided for wetting and smoothing caulk after application. The caulk smoothing device comprises a body, an inlet port, and an outlet port. The body has an outer surface with a first portion having a tapered end suitable for contacting and smoothing caulk. The tapered end may include a smoothing tip designed to match the surface to which the caulk is applied. The body defines a chamber configured to be a reservoir to hold fluid. An inlet port is defined by the body which allows fluid to be introduced into the reservoir. The body further defines an outlet port in fluid flow communication between the reservoir and the first portion of the outer surface of the body.

A method of applying a sealant material to a corner joint, formed by a first planar surface and a second planar surface, comprises positioning a sealant-applicator tip relative to the corner joint such that a first planar face of the sealant-applicator tip is in flush surface contact with and parallel to one of the first planar surface or the second planar surface and a second planar face of the sealant-applicator tip is in flush contact with and parallel to another one of the first planar surface or the second planar surface. The method further comprises advancing the sealant-applicator tip in a first direction along the corner joint while supplying the sealant material to the corner joint through a channel of the sealant-applicator tip and shaping the sealant material, supplied to the corner joint, with a seventh edge of the sealant-applicator tip to form a first bead of the sealant material.

The present invention relates generally to the field of wall and surface repair tools. The device has an angled member or plate with a housing mounted on the angled member. The housing has one push tab or plunger, an interior space, and a grip area. The interior space, angled member, and a continuous opening are in fluid communication and allow for the finishing material, such as spackle, to flow through the device and onto the damaged wall or surface.

A hand tool is provided for the application of joint compound on wall board, a planar blade affixed to a handle. The blade has a concave arcuate working edge, wherein the concave arcuate curve extends the entire length of the working edge to each corner of the working edge. The concave arcuate working edge to may be used to apply a self-featured layer joint compound over drywall tape on planar butt joint or an inside corner joint. The blade is laterally flexible.

A method of biasing a drywall corner flusher and a drywall corner flusher biased in accordance with the method. The method involves moulding a V shaped corner flusher body from a resilient material. The corner flusher body having a pair of blades each having a common edge and a remote edge, with the pair of blades being connected along the common edge. The corner flusher body is moulded with an integrally moulded undulating rib extending from the remote edge of one blade of the pair of blades to the remote edge of another blade of the pair of blades biasing the remote edge of each of the pair of blades outwardly.

A system for finishing surfaces with a finishing material includes a handle assembly with proximal and distal ends. A material reservoir is mounted on the handle distal and includes an inlet and an outlet. A material applicator tool is mounted on the reservoir and receives material from the reservoir outlet. A discharge mechanism includes an extendable-retractable component or linear actuator connected to the reservoir for discharging or reloading material. An alternative embodiment includes a lockable, compressible gas spring. Another alternative embodiment includes a rotating element driven by a reversible motor mounted on the handle assembly. The rotating element drives a discharge mechanism in a discharge direction of rotation, and reloads the reservoir in a reload direction of rotation. Multiple alternative embodiments of linear actuators are disclosed. An alternative embodiment includes a push-to-open valve mechanism.

The device assists in rapid caulking of seams between adjacent material; a tape is provided in rolls. The tape has a pair of parallel perforated lines running lengthwise along the center of the tape; and the tape having a pressure-sensitive adhesive coating on a bottom surface of said tape, the pressure-sensitive adhesive coating located between said perforated line and an exterior perimeter of said tape such that said tape is thereby comprised of three sections: a first adhesive section, a non-adhesive section and a second adhesive section, with the non-adhesive section defined by the perforated lines. The tape has an outwardly facing release coating such that the adhesive will releasably engage the top surface of the tape for manual separation of the tape when rolled upon itself. A crease is formed along the center of the tape to facilitate positioning of the tape in a wall corner. The tape also has a perforated removable center to be removed before caulking is applied.
