An apparatus for use in drywall plastering, and more specifically for applying a pumpable finishing compound to a surface, is disclosed. The apparatus comprises a receptacle for storing the pumpable compound, an applicator for applying the compound to a surface or feature to which the compound is to be applied, a pump for pumping the compound from the receptacle to the applicator for application to the surface or feature, an electric motor which drives the pump, a battery that powers the electric motor, and a conduit through which the compound is pumped from the receptacle to the applicator, and the receptacle, pump, motor and battery of the apparatus may be able to be worn by a user, or carried on a part of the user’s body, while the apparatus is in use for applying the compound to the surface or feature. The apparatus is self-contained and self-powered, and it can consequently operate in an “untethered” manner in the sense that it does not require any power cables extending from the apparatus to a remote power outlet or generator, and there is no need for any hoses or the like to deliver finishing compound, or compressed air, or anything like that, to the apparatus while it is in use.

A system for finishing an interior or exterior drywall surface of a building structure can apply a predetermined formulation of dispensable compound material in liquefied form at a continuous flow with simultaneous surface finishing characteristics while reducing labor intensity and maximizing finish quality to a level 5 standard.

A tape dispenser providing a dispensing assembly adapted to accommodate various widths of tape, wherein the dispensing assembly is operatively associated with a handle assembly to enable self-alignment of the dispensing tape and the dispensing assembly, and wherein a cutting assembly is operatively associated with the dispensing assembly for selectively cutting the dispensing tape.

A roller tool for use in plasterboard finishing is disclosed. The tool has a first wing and a second wing, and an edge portion of the first wing is pivotably connected to an edge portion of the second wing. The tool also has one or more first wing rollers connected to, and able to pivot/roll relative to, the first wing, and one or more second wing rollers connected to, and able to pivot/roll relative to, the second wing. In use, the tool can be pressed against surfaces on respective sides of a joint or line between adjacent plasterboard panels, such that the first wing roller(s) contact with the surface on one side of the joint or line and the second wing roller(s) contact with the surface on the other side of the joint or line. When the tool is thus pressed against the surfaces on respective sides of the joint or line between adjacent plasterboard panels, the first wing and the second wing are caused to align (by pivoting relative to one another, if necessary) with the plasterboard panels on the respective sides of the joint or line, such that the first wing roller(s) become(s) correctly oriented relative to the plasterboard panels on one side of the joint or line, and the second wing roller(s) become(s) correctly oriented relative to the plasterboard panel(s) on the other side of the joint or line.

A convenient and labor-saving, chemically-resistant, multi-layered construction tool covering accessory is provided for protecting a paint shield or other flat-shaped construction tool from soiling during a construction process. The accessory includes a backing member comprising an adhesive inner side for adhering to a construction tool, and an opposed, outer side. At least one stack of removable cover sheets is affixed to the outer side of the backing member. Each removable cover sheet comprises an inner side, an outer side, and an adhesive material on the outer side of the removable cover sheet. The adhesive material is configured to detachably adhere to an adjacent cover sheet arranged over said each removable cover sheet, and to a wall or other surface when said each removable cover sheet is arranged in an outermost position of the at least one stack.

An automated drywalling system network that including one or more automated drywalling systems that each has a robotic arm. A one-handed tool for use in application of seam tape or seaming tape. The device has a frame with an upper support with an ergonomic grip, with a finger guard or shield extending across the front of the grip to protect the user’s fingers. A primary roller support and a secondary roller support extend downward from upper support. Each roller support comprises a pair of parallel arms extending downward at angles behind and in front of the upper support when in use, supporting a primary roller and a secondary roller, respectively. The primary roller is used to apply pressure to the seaming tape, while the secondary roller is used for stability and to apply additional pressure to the edges of the seaming tape.
