Rigid Polymeric Modular Flooring Plank, Method Of Making Same, And Method Of Using Same
A rigid polymeric modular flooring plank can be one continuous piece having a top surface, a bottom surface and multiple sides defining the edges of said rigid polymeric modular flooring plank. The rigid polymeric modular flooring plank can include the appearance of multiple tiles or one tile as part of the top surface, with each of the multiple tiles having multiple simulated sides and a decorative surface, and each tile is completely surrounded by simulated grout lines that have a depth and either have a full width W or a half width ½W. Any simulated grout line that is located at any of said multiple sides has the half width and all other simulated grout lines have the full width. The rigid polymeric modular flooring plank has at least a polymeric base layer, a decorative layer, and a wear layer located above the decorative layer.
COMPOSITE SUBSTRATE AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING SAME
A composite substrate is disclosed. In one embodiment, the composite substrate comprises an inner part (20) arranged intermediate first (10) and second (15) outer members, the inner part comprising more than one segments (22) orientated so that fibres of at least one segment align substantially transverse to fibres of one or both of the first (10) and second (15) members, the relative alignment of the respective fibres serving to, at least in part, align prospective deformation of the or each segments (22) and at least one of the first (10), second (15) outer members in a common direction. A method for producing at least one embodiment of the composite substrate is also disclosed. In another aspect, a floorboard is produced using the composite substrate.
FLOOR PANEL
A floor panel has a rectangular and oblong shape, and includes a substrate and a top layer provided on the substrate and forming a decorative side of the floor panel. The top layer is composed of a print provided on a carrier sheet and a transparent thermoplastic layer situated above the print. The substrate has a thickness from 2 to 10 millimeter and forms at least half of the thickness of the floor panel. The substrate is a polyurethane-based substrate and the transparent thermoplastic layer is polyurethane-based. The floor panel has a length of more than 1.1 meters and has a plurality of reinforcing layers situated outside the center line of the substrate. A reinforcing layer may be provided in combination with the substrate and the top layer.
FLOOR PANEL
A floor may include a substrate having a top side and a bottom side. A top layer may be provided on the substrate. The top layer may consist of a printed thermoplastic film and a thermoplastic transparent or translucent layer provided on the printed thermoplastic film. The top layer may be directly adhered to the substrate by heat welding the printed thermoplastic film and the top side of the substrate, in the absence of a glue layer. The substrate may be a synthetic material board including a filler. The substrate at least at two opposite edges may include coupling means provided in the synthetic material board. The thermoplastic transparent or translucent layer may be provided with a structure.

Engineered hardwood flooring and manufacture thereof
Methods and articles of manufacture relating to engineered hardwood flooring are provided. Engineered hardwood flooring is produced by drying a structural layer comprising a hardwood to a moisture content from about 0.1% to about 3%, whereupon a cell structure of the hardwood collapses. The dried structural layer is humidified to where the hardwood has an increased moisture content greater than about 3%. First and second outer layers are adhered to respective first and second sides of the structural layer to form an engineered product, the structural layer sandwiched by the first outer layer and the second outer layer.
