A floor panel having a foam pad and a laminated surface is contemplated. The foam pad includes a plurality of male and female fastening mechanisms. The laminated surface is attached to the foam pad and exposed to foot traffic. The panel is configured to be installed on an installation surface and interconnect with additional floor panels via the male and female fastening mechanisms to form a sports floor for a sports activity. Interconnections between the panel and the additional panels have no gaps or gaps small enough without interfering the sports activity. The panel is configured to be removable from the installation surface by disengaging the male and female fastening mechanisms interconnected with the additional floor panels. The panels can be easily installed and removed and have improved shock absorbency. The panels are portable and have a simple structure that aids in manufacturing, reduces cost, and are easy to clean.

SMART FLOOR TILES AND SMART FLOOR SYSTEMS
20200063440 · 2020-02-27 ·

A smart floor tile capable of gathering environmental information and sensing the local presence of a body includes a tile body, an engagement interface, a processor, a storage device, and a sensing element. The engagement interface physically engages with another tile body. The processor generates local coordinate information according to received coordinate information and can output its own local coordinate information through the connection interface. The storage device stores the local coordinates of each smart floor tile. The sensing element is coupled to the processor and can transmit data to a server as to transient events experienced, and each smart floor tile can also be controlled to output audible, visible, and haptic effects from outputting elements contained within the smart floor tile.

The utility model relates to a stainless steel metal floor, which is formed by the assembly of more than one substrate (1) and more than one floor edge trim identification strip (2), wherein the upper base surface of the substrate (1) is provided with protruding lines (11), a pair of adjacent right-angle edges is provided with a first substrate lug buckle (14) respectively, the other pair of adjacent right-angle edges is provided with a second substrate lug buckle (15) respectively, the second substrate lug buckle (15) is opened with a substrate taper hole (151) and a substrate straight hole (152) from top to bottom, the floor edge trim identification strip (2) comprises a first floor edge trim identification strip (21) and a second floor edge trim identification strip (22).

Surface underlayment system with interlocking resilient assemblies of shock tiles

A surface underlayment system and its method of manufacture that is sandwiched between an impact-receiving upper surface and a lower foundation. The energy absorbing system has subassemblies of interconnected modules that cooperate to absorb and distribute impact forces applied thereto. Each module has one or more frustoconical support structures. At least some of the frustoconical support structures have bases that underlie the upper impact-receiving surface such as a golf putting green, a football field, marine decking, and senior living flooring.

INTERLOCKING MODULAR MAT WITH SPONGE INSERT
20190186155 · 2019-06-20 ·

An interlocking modular mat having four sides has female connectors on two sides and male connectors on the other two sides so that the modular mat can interlock with an adjacent mat and its connectors. The modular mat is configured with a plurality of structures surrounding a periphery of a top portion of the mat. The plurality of structures in combination with an underside of the top portion of the mat form a cavity. A sponge insert is configured to fit in the cavity and have a height such that a portion of the sponge insert extends from a bottom side the mat body. With the sponge insert extending beyond the bottom side of the mat body, the sponge insert bottom face generally become the supporting bottom of the modular mat to provide a more cushioned feel for a mat user.
