PANEL HAVING FRACTURE-RESISTANT COUPLING ELEMENTS
The present disclosure relates to a panel for a paneling, more particularly to a floor panel for a floor covering, comprising: a panel upper surface and a panel lower surface parallel to the panel upper surface, which are mutually spaced by a total thickness; an upper coupling element and a lower coupling element, wherein two panels of this type are designed such that said panels can be coupled to each other by means of a downward movement of the upper coupling element of the first panel relative to the lower coupling element of the second panel; wherein the upper coupling element has a detent element and the lower coupling element has a detent receptacle; wherein the upper coupling element has a locking receptacle and the lower coupling element has a locking element; and wherein a material thickness (UM) of the lower coupling element between the panel lower surface and the detent receptacle is less than 100 percent of a material thickness (OM) of the upper coupling element between the panel upper surface and the locking receptacle.
Mechanical locking of floor panels with a flexible tongue
Floor panels which are provided with a mechanical locking system including an extruded flexible tongue in a sidewardly open groove which during a vertical folding motion is bent horizontally. A tongue adapted for being received in a sidewardly open groove of a floor panel, wherein the tongue, which is an elongated extruded section, when received in the groove is bendable in a plane substantially parallel with a front face of the floor panel, such that the tongue is at least partially resiliently displaceable inside said sidewardly open groove in said plane during locking of the floor panel with another floor panel and wherein a vertical protrusion, serving as a friction connection between the tongue and the groove, is arranged at an upper or lower part of the tongue, wherein a total width of tongue varies in a longitudinal direction of the tongue.
Panel with locking device
A set of panels includes first and second panels, and a mechanical locking device for locking by vertical relative displacement of the panels. A locking strip extends from a first edge of the first panel in a direction parallel to first and second panel surfaces of the first panel. The locking strip includes a locking element configured to cooperate with a locking groove at a second edge of the second panel for locking in a direction parallel to the first panel surface. Opposite edges respectively include cooperating tongue and tongue groove for vertical locking. The locking strip includes a flexing groove extending from the second locking strip surface into the locking strip, to increase a flexibility of the locking strip during the assembly.
PANEL
The panel includes a first pair of opposite edges; these comprise male and female coupling parts - in the form of a tongue and groove and locking elements - in order to couple two such panels to each other on their first pair of opposite edges. The panel and coupling parts thereof are configured so that in a covering formed with these panels, the expansion and contraction of the panels in the coupling zone on the first pair of opposite edges is compensated in this coupling zone itself.
Mechanical locking system for floor panels
Floor panels (1, 1′) are shown, which are provided with a mechanical locking system that may be locked with a vertical displacement of a first panel against a second panel. The locking system includes a flexible strip (6) that during locking bends upwardly or downwardly. The locking system includes a first (7a) and a second (7b) joint edge section with different locking functions. One section provides a horizontal locking and another section provides a vertical locking.
FLOOR COVERING WITH REPLACEABLE FLOORBOARDS
A floor covering comprises at least first and second floorboards. Each floorboard respectively defines opposite longitudinal ends, an exposed outer surface and an opposite underside surface for engaging a subfloor, and comprises mating structures at each lateral side thereof. The first and second floorboards are configured to be adjacently assembled in a side-to-side arrangement with the mating structure of one of the lateral sides of the first floorboard vertically and removably mating with the mating structure of one of the lateral sides of the second floorboard. The floor covering includes at least one clip for being fastened to the subfloor and comprises mating structures at each lateral side thereof for vertically and removably receiving the respective mating structures first and second floorboards at each lateral side thereof.
Floor Panel for Producing a Covering
A floor panel includes male and female coupling means that are formed by at least one proximal groove that opens onto a lower face or upper face, respectively, of the panel and by a distal flexible tongue that extends from the end of the edge of the panel towards the lower face or upper face, respectively. The tongue has a proximal wall inclined at an angle with respect to a vertical plane towards the bottom and the outside of the panel and towards the top and the outside of the panel, respectively. The tongue of at least one of the male coupling means or female coupling means has a distal wall that includes, at least, a protrusion or a notch that is able to engage with a notch or a protrusion formed in or on a proximal wall of the proximal groove of the corresponding female coupling means or male coupling means so as to form an end stop, avoiding vertical movement of a panel with respect to an adjacent panel. The flexible tongue of the female coupling means comprises a chamfered part that forms an angle of between 2° and 20° with respect to the main plane of the panel.
Thin Decorative Surface Covering
A decorative surface covering element has a height of 4 mm or less from its top surface to the bottom surface. The surface covering element is configured as a multi-layered compound with a polymer-based core layer laminated between a backing layer and a wear layer, the core layer comprising a core material having a lesser shore hardness than the backing layer and the wear layer. The surface covering element comprises a first connecting profile, integral with the multi-layered compound, that extends along at least one of the edges of the surface covering element. The first connecting profile comprises at least one protrusion realized in the core layer, the protrusion having side surfaces for being seized between opposite surfaces of a recess in a second connecting profile, configured for mating with the first connecting profile, of another decorative surface covering element.
Mechanical locking system for floor panels
Ceramic and stone tiles are shown, which are provided with a locking system including a separate strip part connected to vertical and horizontal grooves formed in the tile edge. A set of ceramic or stone tiles including a first tile provided with a first edge and a second tile provided with a second edge wherein the tiles are provided with a locking system for locking the first edge to the second edge in a horizontal direction parallel with a tile surface and in a vertical direction perpendicular to the horizontal direction, said locking system includes a first and a second tongue and a strip part provided with a first and a second locking element.
Decorative Panel, and Decorative Floor Covering Consisting of Said Panels
In the field of decorative floor coverings, decorative panels are known having a MDF (Medium Density Board) or HDF (High Density Board) based core layer on top of which a decorative substrate is attached to provide the panels a desired appearance. The invention relates to a panel, in particular a decorative panel, a floor panel, a ceiling panel or a wall panel. The invention also relates to a floor covering consisting of a plurality of mutually coupled panels.
