A non-aerosol and non-oily fragrance product comprising a uniformly diffusive hair mist spray formulation including: about 0.1-15.0 percent by weight fragrance, about 5.0-10.0 percent by weight solubilizer, about 3.0-4.9 percent by weight ethylhexylglycerin, about 0.5-5.0 percent by weight propanediol, about 38.0-50 percent by weight alcohol, and up to about 45.0 percent by weight water (aqua). The product can also include about 0.01-15.0 percent by weight additives such as amino acid complex. The hair mist product is free of silicone, which can weigh down the hair, and contains no quaternium or cationic compounds. The hair mist spray is VOC compliant, exhibits long-lasting fragrance notes, and enhances hair shine with a non-greasy and silky luxurious feel.

C12-15 Alkyl Benzoates that are made at least in part from natural sources, e.g., from various plant based alkyl compounds having chain lengths in the range of 12 to 15 carbon atoms, e.g., palm-based C12 compounds, that are useful for a full array of cosmetic uses, including in all known uses for known C12-15 Alkyl Benzoates, which C12-15 Alkyl Benzoates provide a large number of advantages over known products in the art, including costs savings as well as providing a more natural product, which would be more desirable especially in the fields of uses of cosmetics, and beauty and/or body care products as well as in fragrances, where naturally sourced materials are typically highly valued by customers.

The present disclosure relates to a method for styling mammalian hair fibers, including providing body, straightening, relaxing, curling, or applying any other desired modification to the shape of the hair. The method comprises applying a hair styling composition comprising at least one thermally-curable epoxy monomer to the hair, allowing the monomers to penetrate within the hair and curing such monomers to internally form a polymer able to overcome the tendency of the hair to revert to its native shape. When curing is performed while the hair is in a desired modified shape, the resulting polymers may maintain the modified shape. Suitable compositions and kits allowing to prepare the same are also disclosed.

The present specification relates to a composition for external application to skin with improved solubility and feeling during use, comprising a benzoic acid amide compound, an isomer thereof, a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof, a hydrate thereof or a solute that is a solvate thereof, and a first cyclodextrin solubilizing agent.

Topical formulations including a combination of L-ascorbic acid, a urea agent and a chemical exfoliant dissolved in a non-aqueous skin-compatible solvent are provided. The topical formulations including a chemical exfoliant can be used as a chemical peeling solution. The formulations are storage stable for an extended period of time without significant degradation of the L-ascorbic acid or urea in the composition, are have several desirable physical properties when topically applied to skin. Topical compositions of this disclosure find use in treating or preventing a variety of cosmetic and/or dermatological conditions as well as to reduce the appearance of chronological and/or environmentally-caused skin aging. In some embodiments, the topical composition finds use as a chemical peeling solution, e.g., to facilitate shedding of the top layers of skin cells after topical administration.

The present invention is directed to hair care composition comprising from about 8 to about 17% of one or more surfactants; from about 0.01% to about 10% of one or more surfactant soluble antidandruff agents; from about 0.01% to about 5% of one or more polyacrylate or polyacrylamide based thickening polymer; from about 0.02-0.25% salicylate salts or acids; from about 0.02-0.25% benzoate salts or acids wherein there is a weight ratio of about 1:1 to 12.5:1 for the salicylate salts or acids to benzoate salts or acids.

Compositions of the invention contain, in a cosmetically acceptable aqueous medium, a) a cationic polyelectrolyte, b) at least one surfactant; and (c) from about 0.01 to about 1.2 weight percent of an anionic polyelectrolyte, where the weight ratio of the anionic polyelectrolyte to the cationic polyelectrolyte is from about 0.05 to about 1.2, and where the composition exhibits a viscosity change that is below a minimum significant-change-threshold (Δηmin) and exhibits no measurable yield stress or increase in yield stress value when compared to a substantially identical composition that does not contain from about 0.01 to about 1.2 weight percent of the anionic polyelectrolyte, at a weight ratio of anionic polyelectrolyte to cationic polyelectrolyte of from about 0.05 to about 1.2.

The present invention relates to a cosmetic composition comprising: palmitoylethanolamide; one or more of a pentanediol and a hexanediol; and a butanediol, and the cosmetic composition can allow palmitoylethanolamide to be sufficiently dissolved with the combination of the butanediol and one or more of the pentanediol and hexanediol, alleviate skin irritation caused by the solvent, and exhibit a skin soothing effect due to palmitoylethanolamide.

A composition for external use containing a tranexamate as an active ingredient with suppressed sticky or oily feeling but having a fresh feel of use, and a method for producing the same. A tranexamate salt can be dispersed stably in an aqueous medium by (a) dissolving the tranexamate salt and an amphiphilic polymer in water, a water-soluble organic solvent or a mixture thereof; and (b) adding a mixed solution obtained in the step (a) to an aqueous medium, and thus keeping the tranexamate salt in molecular assembly particles formed of the amphiphilic polymer.

The present invention relates to compositions for and methods of retarding hair loss or facilitating hair growth comprising a hair growth active, a mixture of C.sub.12-C.sub.15 alkyl lactates and a viscosity modifying agent comprising at least one cellulose and/or a cellulose derivative. Clear compositions are also disclosed.
