The present invention relates to a cosmetic composition of water-in-oil emulsion type comprising: —from 8% to 70% by weight of an aqueous phase comprising at least one moisturizer/humectant, —from 30% to 92% by weight relative to the weight of the composition of a lipophilic phase comprising: —1% to 20% by weight relative to the weight of the composition of a polar non-volatile hydrocarbon-based first oil, a volatile or non-volatile, hydrocarbon-based or silicone apolar oil, the composition comprising at least one silicon oil; —a particular solid compound whose melting point is at least 30° C., the composition comprising not more than 20% by weight of the lipophilic phase of hydrocarbon-based apolar compound of synthetic origin, —at least one emulsifying surfactant system. the invention also relates to a lip treatment process in which the composition according to any one of the preceding claims is applied to the lips.
COMPOSITIONS, KITS AND METHODS FOR MAINTAINING EYELID HYGIENE
Compositions and methods for cleansing the eyelid and treating an ocular condition are disclosed herein. A method for treating an ocular condition involves cleansing an eyelid with a first ophthalmic composition, wherein the first ophthalmic composition consists essentially of water, PEG-80 sorbitan laurate, methyl gluceth-20, PEG-120 methyl glucose dioleate, salicyloyl phytosphingosine, decyl glucoside, 1,2 hexanediol, caprylyl glycol, disodium cocoamphodiacetate, panthenol, polyaminopropyl biguanide, sodium chloride, potassium chloride and calcium chloride followed by applying a therapeutically effective amount of a second ophthalmic composition to a margin of the eyelid, wherein the second ophthalmic composition consists essentially of water and hypochlorous acid.
PHOTO-STABILIZED COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS OF USE
The present disclosure relates to cosmetic compositions and methods of using the cosmetic compositions to benefit the skin. The cosmetic compositions typically include: (a) resveratrol, polydatin, or a mixture thereof; (b) baicalin; (c) optionally, one or more solubilizers; and (d) a cosmetically acceptable carrier. The compositions provide multiple benefits to skin. For example, the compositions are particularly useful for providing anti-aging benefits to skin, for whitening the skin, and for improving skin's appears (e.g., radiance and firmness).
HEAT-PROTECTIVE COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS OF USE
The present disclosure relates to compositions that protect the skin and hair from extreme heat (external thermal flux). The compositions include: (a) laponite; (b) one or more UV filters; (c) one or more emulsifiers; and (d) water. The compositions are useful in cosmetic, industrial, and military technologies. For instance, the compositions are useful in methods for protecting skin from intense external thermal flux (e.g., fires and explosives). When applied to the hair, the compositions are useful in methods for protecting the hair from heat damage caused by, for example, hair dryers, curling irons, straightening irons, etc.
DIETARY SUPPLEMENT NON-FLUORIDE TOOTHPASTE AND METHODS OF MAKING AND USING SAME
Provided herein is a storage stable non-fluoride toothpaste composition enriched with a dietary supplement containing both oil soluble and water soluble vitamins. The dietary supplement is incorporated into the toothpaste, the dietary supplement containing a water soluble vitamin portion including at least one water soluble vitamin and an oil soluble vitamin portion. The oil soluble vitamin portion includes at least one oil soluble vitamin, a carrier oil and an emulsifier. The toothpaste is thereby formulated in a manner such that oral application will result in systemic delivery of at least a portion of the dietary supplement to meet a 2% RDI threshold even when 3 or less serving sizes are orally applied.
High alcohol content sanitizer
An antimicrobial sanitizing composition in the form of a gel or cream containing an alcohol in an amount of at least 55% by weight. The sanitizer is capable of disinfecting a variety of surfaces, including the skin. In addition to alcohol, the sanitizer contains an anionic phospholipid in a controlled concentration as well as components conventionally found in skin creams and gels such as emulsifiers, emollients, moisturizers, rheology modifiers, and neutralizers.
TRANSPARENT COMPOSITIONS
A composition comprising: A) a transparent gel base, comprising: a) a polymeric thickener, b) a solubiliser, c) a pH adjuster, d) a calcium sequestrant, e) water, f) an optional protein, g) an optional active material, which is selected from disaccharides, lactones, inorganic salts, diacids and mixtures thereof, h) an optional dye preferably comprising violet, blue, red or mixtures thereof, wherein the solubiliser comprises a mixture of at least two components, said mixture comprising at least one high HLB component having an HLB value of from 10 to 20 and at least one low HLB component having an HLB value of from 1 to less than 10, and B) a hydrogel particle, comprising: a) a matrix, and b) a silicone or blend of silicones, wherein the silicone or blend of silicones has an average molecular weight of greater than 400 Da, and wherein the particle has an average diameter of 0.1 to 15 mm and wherein the silicone is present in an amount of from 5 to 40 wt % by total weight of the particle.
