Apparatus and Methods for Lighting a Floor Using a Light Diffusing Fiber
According to some implementations a floor is provided that comprises a substrate having a top surface and a groove formed therein. The groove has an open end located at the top surface of the substrate. The groove further includes a bottom wall and side walls with the bottom wall located a first distance below the top surface of the substrate. The groove extends along a length of the substrate. A light diffusing optical fiber or other lighting means is supported inside the groove by a transparent or translucent fiber support that spaces the light diffusing optical fiber or other lighting means a distance away from the bottom wall, side walls and open end of the groove. According to some implementations the walls of the groove or the outer surfaces of the fiber support are provided with light reflectors to enhance the propagation of light toward the open end of the groove.
Prefabricated, Customizable Coffered Ceiling System
Systems and methods for providing a prefabricated, custom coffered ceiling apparatus, which includes an outer box frame, custom interior frame designs in accordance with an order, wherein the interior frame designs are attached to the outer box frame, and crown molding on the outside of the box frame at the top of the coffer. The coffers are finished with paint or various wood finished in accordance with an order. The coffer system is easily assembled via a groove created at the top of the coffer for easy installation at the desired location. Lighting fixtures or other desired elements may be mounted within the apparatus.
LED illuminated floor tile with glass cover
An illuminated floor tile, includes a rear body, an LED lamp panel disposed on the rear body, and a glass cover provided over the LED lamp panel and secured to the rear body by an adhesive layer. The LED lamp panel includes a plurality of lamp beads fixedly arranged on a PCB board. The rear body includes a plurality of supports extending from a bottom hosing and through an opening of the PCB, such that a top surface of the supports is higher than the lamp beads and supports the glass.
System and method for securing power and communications cables and associated hardware within crown molding
A system for crown molding that enables safely incorporating electrical and communications cabling within crown molding by creating one or more protected paths which inherently prevent overly sharp bends in crown molding corners and by mitigating damage from penetrating punctures through a decorated face designed to fracture when improperly penetrated by a screw or nail, and enables the secure installation of hardware either concealed within the molding or securely and favorably positioned through the decorative face to view or sense a room, and enables additional cable capacity that is concealed within a light reflector to increase lighting efficacy as well as power and data delivery capacity.
Covering Panel Comprising a Lighting System
The present invention provides a covering panel, such as a floor covering panel, a wall covering panel or a ceiling covering panel, comprising: (i) a top layer, (ii) a substrate, and (iii) a lighting system comprising a plurality of light units wherein the lighting system is situated between said top layer and said substrate.
STONE SLAB WITH LIGHT SOURCE AND MANUFACTURING PROCESS THEREOF
A stone slab with a light source and a manufacturing process thereof are disclosed. The stone slab includes a transparent composite plate. The composite plate includes a stone panel, a light guide plate, and a honeycomb plate laminated from top to bottom. A water-molecule-activated protective film is provided on an upper surface and a lower surface of the light guide plate respectively. The water-molecule-activated protective film on the upper surface of the light guide plate is bonded to the stone panel. The water-molecule-activated protective film on the lower surface of the light guide plate is bonded to the honeycomb plate by using an adhesive. The water-molecule-activated protective film can be used to bond the light guide plate. Moreover, the adhesive on another side of the water-molecule-activated protective film does not directly contact the light guide plate and avoids a problem that a lighting effect is impaired.

Construction kit for producing coverings
A construction kit for producing coverings, particularly floor coverings, including components laid with their edges adjoining one another. According to the invention, the construction kit has components with at least one channel, particularly a groove open toward the support surface of the component, for receiving electric cables, and comprises a passage, connected to the channel and open toward the visible surface of the component, for laying the cables.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR SECURING POWER AND COMMUNICATIONS CABLES AND ASSOCIATED HARDWARE WITHIN CROWN MOLDING
A crown molding assembly that enables safely incorporating electrical and communications cabling within the crown molding by providing segregated compartments for electrical and copper communications cabling, wherein the decorative face is formed of a composite of fiber reinforcing polymer (FRP) including a fiber-reinforced structure having an increased directionality of said reinforcing fibers causing the decorative face to fracture upon being pierced by a fastener in a manner that renders the damaged section of the decorative face unable to hold the fastener, protecting the electrical cables and any other equipment located behind the decorative face from damage, and enables the secure installation of hardware either concealed within the molding or securely and favorably positioned through the decorative face to view or sense a room, and enables additional cable capacity that is concealed within a light reflector to increase lighting efficacy and power and data delivery capacity.
MODULAR CONSTRUCTION SYSTEMS
A modular construction system includes a top molding member; a bottom molding member; and at least one stanchion spacing the top molding member from the bottom molding member, the stanchion being removably attached to the top and bottom molding member. Other construction systems include removable panels that are coupled with frame pieces to collectively form a stair rail system, molding systems, backsplash systems, and other building components.
