Progressive stage load distribution and absorption underlayment system
A progressive stage load distributing and absorbing system that lies below a superstructure material which is exposed to percussive forces. The progressive stage load distributing and absorbing system is interposed between the superstructure material and a foundation. The system has a barrier layer that lies below the superstructure material and an underlayment infrastructure positioned below the barrier layer. Included in the underlayment infrastructure are hat-shaped absorbing members that have a relatively compliant stage subsystem and one or more relatively stiff stage subsystems.
Interlocking modular mat with sponge insert
An interlocking modular mat having four sides has female connectors on two sides and male connectors on the other two sides so that the modular mat can interlock with an adjacent mat and its connectors. The modular mat is configured with a plurality of structures surrounding a periphery of a top portion of the mat. The plurality of structures in combination with an underside of the top portion of the mat form a cavity. A sponge insert is configured to fit in the cavity and have a height such that a portion of the sponge insert extends from a bottom side the mat body. With the sponge insert extending beyond the bottom side of the mat body, the sponge insert bottom face generally become the supporting bottom of the modular mat to provide a more cushioned feel for a mat user.
DUAL-PURPOSE PROGRESSIVE STAGE LOAD-DISTRIBUTING AND ABSORBING SYSTEM
A multi-purpose progressive stage load distributing and absorbing system that lies below a superstructure material that is exposed to percussive forces. The progressive stage load distributing and absorbing system is interposed between the superstructure material and a foundation. The system has a barrier layer that lies below the superstructure material and an underlayment infrastructure positioned below the barrier layer. Included in the underlayment infrastructure are hat-shaped absorbing members that have a relatively compliant region and one or more relatively stiff regions.
NEW ATHLETIC FLOOR AND METHOD THEREFOR
A new athletic floor resiliently retrofit to a worn athletic floor having a supporting sleeper connected to a ground substrate. The new athletic floor incudes a channel section connected to the supporting sleeper, the channel section having a top plate located between and connected to each of a left vertical side wall spaced apart from a right vertical side wall. The left vertical side wall includes a left horizontal flange extending outward from the top plate and the right vertical side wall includes a right horizontal flange extending outward from the top plate. A left resilient pad rests on the left horizontal flange and a right resilient pad rests on the right horizontal flange. A new floor rests on the left resilient pad and the right resilient pad and is spaced from the top plate a first distance in a first resilient compression condition.
Anti-fatigue mat
An anti-fatigue modular floor mat includes a set of interlocking tiles. Each tile comprises tabs that extend from an edge of the tile; the tabs can comprise a cavity and a pad opposite the cavity. The tiles can comprise indentations disposed on a bottom of the tile and laterally spaced from the tabs along the edge. Protrusions can extend from the indentation. The tabs can be configured to mate with corresponding indentations on corresponding tiles and the protrusions can be configured to be inserted into corresponding cavities to establish a multi-connection modular floor mat.
Structural panel
A structural panel includes a core and first and second facing sheets. The core has bonding surfaces on first and second, opposite sides thereof. The first facing sheet is a non-thermoplastic, fire retardant facing sheet having an inner surface bonded to the bonding surface on the first side. The second facing sheet is bonded to the bonding surface on the second side. The first facing sheet is fire retardant or non-flammable and the core is at least fire retardant. The structural panel finds particular utility as a building-cladding panel.
Shock absorbing interlocking floor system
Floor panels include a top portion that is molded from a plastic material. The top portion has a substantially planar top surface and side surfaces. The side surfaces depend downward from the substantially planar top surface forming a cavity in an underside of the substantially planar top surface. A bottom support structure fills the cavity, thereby providing support and shock absorption to the substantially planar top surface.
Impact damping mat, equipment accessory and flooring system
An impact damping mat comprises a plurality of layers arranged in a stacked formation. The stacked formation has a total thickness of no greater than 4 7/16 inches. The plurality of layers cooperate to provide the impact damping mat with at least one of a coefficient of restitution no greater than 30% and a selected sound reduction characteristic. The selected sound reduction characteristic can be a reduction of a maximum sound level of at least 5 dB from 40 to 63 Hz octave bands and at least 13 dB at and above 80 Hz octave bands normalized to a conventional inch rollout rubber flooring product.
LOAD DISTRIBUTION AND ABSORPTION UNDERLAYMENT SYSTEM
A load distributing and absorbing system that lies below a superstructure material which is exposed to percussive forces. The load distributing and absorbing system is interposed between the superstructure material and a foundation. The system has a barrier layer that lies below the superstructure material and an underlayment infrastructure positioned below the barrier layer. Included in the underlayment infrastructure are hat-shaped absorbing members.
