The present disclosure provides oleanoyl tripeptide to prevent skin aging. More specifically the invention discloses the anti-collagenase, anti-elastase, enhancement of TGF- secretion in fibroblasts, UV protection, oxidative stress protection, and other properties of the oleanoyl-KVK tripeptide which aids in preventing skin aging.

Methods for improving a hair quality in a subject comprise mixing a polypeptide covalently bound to a hydrophilic polymer and/or a polysaccharide covalently bound to a hydrophilic polymer and an oxidizing agent, a reducing agent, or ammonia; and applying the composition to hair. This application relates to compounds prepared from cosmetically acceptable ingredients, methods of preparation thereof, and use thereof. Compounds are of formula (I) UCB, or salts thereof, wherein U, C and B are moieties of cosmetically acceptable ingredients U, C and B. In living tissues, the compounds can release at least one of U, C and B. The bond between C and U and/or between C and B is labile in living tissues. In particular, the compounds comprise moieties derived from salicylic acid, retinol and retinoic acid or nicotinic acid.

Described herein are oral care compositions comprising (i) a peroxide whitening agent comprising a whitening complex of crosslinked polyvinylpyrrolidone complexed with hydrogen peroxide, (ii) sodium acid pyrophosphate (Na.sub.2H.sub.2P.sub.2O.sub.7) in an amount of from 0.05 wt % to 5 wt % based on the weight of the composition, and (iii) less than 3 wt % water based on the weight of the composition.
