The rail assembly includes a first post and a second post. The base portion of the first post is rotatably coupled to a first pivot point of the frame weldment and the base portion of the second post is rotatably coupled to a second pivot point of the frame weldment. The system also includes a top rail rotatably coupled between a top portion of the first post and a top portion of the second post. The system yet further includes an actuator configured to controllably adjust a configuration of the rail assembly between an extended configuration and a retracted configuration with respect to the frame weldment.
MOVABLE PLATFORM FOR A MOULD SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR HANDLING A MOULD SYSTEM COMPRISING A MOVABLE PLATFORM
Disclosed is a mould system for moulding a blade shell of a wind turbine blade comprising a first mould for manufacturing a first blade shell part of the wind turbine blade; a second mould for manufacturing a second blade shell part of the wind turbine blade; a turning device configured to reposition the first mould between an open mould position and a closed mould position comprising a turning mechanism and a first primary beam connecting the turning mechanism and the first mould; a first scaffold arranged between the first mould and the second mould in the open mould position and comprising a first primary scaffold part and a first secondary scaffold part spaced apart by a first primary scaffold opening, the first primary scaffold allowing the first primary beam to move therethrough during repositioning of the first mould; a first primary movable platform attached to the first mould and being configured to move between an extended platform position and a stored platform position and covering the first primary scaffold opening in the extended position and arranged to expose the first primary scaffold opening in the stored platform position.
Climbing systems, kits, assemblies, components, and methods for reducing construction accidents
To address one or more of these and/or other needs or problems with the use of climbing aids in the construction industry, the present inventor devised, among other things, one or more exemplary systems, kits, methods, devices, assemblies, and/or components related to providing safe and efficient means for installing temporary walls in commercial building projects as well as for other situations where conventional ladders pose heightened risk of injury and death. One exemplary system includes a telescopic climbing mast having a minimal operational length in the range of at least 15 feet, extending between a base support and a ceiling interface configured to resist lateral movement of an upper end of the mast. An upper portion of the mast further includes a worker safety line tie-off point for connection to a retractable fall restraint line.
SAFETY RAIL SYSTEM
A post for a temporary safety rail system comprising a base for reversible engagement with a floor, a rail holder to hold a rail in reversibly fixed engagement with the post and a plurality of components which are together operable to adjust the height of the post.
Modular Fall Protection System
A modular fall protection system has an adjustable frame that can be mounted onto an external structure and used to support the weight of a user who has fallen. The adjustable frame has a length-adjustable mast, set of connective braces, and an anchor point. The length-adjustable mast is a telescoping post that can be extended or collapsed to provide fall protection to the user at various heights. The connective braces extend between the length-adjustable mast and the external structure and are used to maintain the length-adjustable mast in an orientation that facilitates suspending the user in the air after a fall. The anchor point enables the user to be tethered to the length-adjustable post. Preferably, the system has a detachable walkway and handrail that can be mounted onto the adjustable frame and provide fall protection in a variety of situations.
Adjustable Toe Board
An adjustable toe board that is capable of adjustment to a number of varying lengths to accommodate various platform sizing. An exemplary embodiment of the invention includes a locking mechanism for use with the adjustable toe board to retain the toe board in its retracted position when necessary for transport, storage, or when the size of the portion of the platform the toe board will be used in requires the toe board to be in its fully collapsible state. A uniquely shaped wedge pin may be utilized to accommodate various sizes of posts when connecting a non-adjustable or an adjustable toe board to scaffolds and the like.
ADJUSTABLE PLATFORM RAIL SYSTEMS AND METHODS
Systems and apparatuses an adjustable platform rail assembly. The adjustable platform rail assembly includes a lower rail assembly and an upper rail assembly. The lower rail assembly extends away from a platform of a mobile elevated work platform to define a passenger compartment therein. The upper rail assembly is coupled to the lower rail assembly and extends upwardly away from the lower rail assembly. The upper rail assembly includes a perimeter space assembly and a confined space assembly. The upper rail assembly is movable between (a) a first configuration in which the perimeter rail assembly and the confined space assembly are extended and the upper rail assembly surrounds the passenger compartment, and (b) a second configuration in which the perimeter rail assembly is collapsed, the confined space assembly is extended, and the upper rail assembly surrounds a subset of the passenger compartment.
Safety rail system
A safety rail apparatus is provided, which comprises a post with a base configured to reversibly engage with a floor and providing support for at least 12 kN load, a rail holder configured to hold a rail in reversibly fixed engagement with the post and a plurality of components which are together operable to adjust the height of the post between a lower height of 900 mm-1.2 m and an upper height of 1.9 m-2.5 m. The plurality of compontents is further configured to adjust the height of the post to the lower height during one stage of a construction project and to the upper height during another stage of the construction project such that the upper height is at least 1.8 times higher than the lower height. The apparatus further comprises a mesh support configured to reversibly engage with the rail and support a mesh.
Telescoping Break-Away Canopy Assembly
A break-away canopy assembly configured for use with a work platform in an elevator hoistway is provided. The break-away canopy assembly includes a plurality of spaced apart canopy posts in a substantially vertical orientation. A first support framework is connected to one or more of the spaced apart canopy posts. A second support framework is connected to one or more of the spaced apart canopy posts and opposes the first support framework. The first and second support frameworks each have connected first and second extension assemblies. One or more roof sections span and are connected to the first and second support frameworks. The first and second extension assemblies of the first support framework and the first and second extension assemblies of the second support frameworks are each configured to separate from each other in the event of an uncontrolled descent of the work platform.
Shield
A temporary shield erected between two flanged structural members of a bridge or other structure, a kit therefor, and a method for erection of the shield. A plurality of length-adjustable beams have end portions which are rested on flanges respectively of the structural members. Decking is attached to the beams. At least one elongate member is cantileverly extended from at least one of the beams to underlie a structural member flange to prevent wind lift up of the shield.
