20230183969 · 2023-06-15 ·

A cap for a tubular sleeve having a cylindrical wall extending along a longitudinal axis for forming a passage through a concrete structure. The sleeve has radially extending ridges separated into segments with a channel parallel to the longitudinal axis. The channel has a circumferential width W. The ridges spaced apart a distance Z along the longitudinal axis. The sleeve having an inner diameter D. The cap has a cap element and a positioning tab. The cap element has a circular outer periphery with a flat top surface and a flange having a bottom end, and the tab extends inwardly from the bottom end and has a bottom surface that is orthogonal to the longitudinal axis. The tab has an inner surface that is inclined at an acute angle to the bottom surface. The tab has a width smaller than W and an axial length smaller than Z.

CONCRETE INSERT CHANNEL ASSEMBLY

The present invention relates to a concrete channel assembly configured to prevent ingress of concrete into the concrete insert channel during construction. The concrete insert channel assembly includes a concrete insert channel having a plurality of anchor hooks, a plurality of base openings, first and second open ends, and a bottom opening, a plurality of sealing caps having a sealing cap body and a sealing support rib with the sealing support rib integrally connected to the sealing cap body, first and second end caps configured to removably mount and seal the first and second open ends, respectively, and a closure strip configured to slidably mount and seal the bottom opening. Each of the plurality of seal caps is configured to removably mount and seal each of the plurality of base openings of the concrete insert channel.

Form for casting a concrete light pole base
09821495 · 2017-11-21 · ·

A process and form for casting a concrete light pole base having a decorative upper portion with a configuration for mounting a light pole. The form includes a base having an opening in which a resilient insert is positioned. The insert has openings for holding threaded ends of mounting bolts and for positioning wiring conduits. Ends of the bolts extend from the insert into the mold cavity. Different inserts may be used to accommodate different light pole mounting specifications. A first form section for shaping a decorative upper portion of the light pole base is positioned on the base, and forms for shaping the cylindrical lower end of the light pole base are secured above the first form section.

Cap for risers in concrete decks

An assembly creates annular voids in concrete around the distal end of cylindrical tubes. A cap has a flat top and a cylindrical, depending skirt. An annular, foam plug extends between the inside of the skirt and the outer diameter of the tube. The plug has an undeformed inner diameter smaller than an outer diameter of the tube to create an interference fit around the tube and keep concrete out when the cap is on the end of the tube. The plug has a radial thickness of 0.3 to 1 inch, and has an axial length of 1 to 3 inches, with a bottom of the plug located at a bottom of the skirt. The cap is glued to the end of the tube for pressure testing. After the tube is entrained in concrete, the cap and plug are removed to leave a void in the concrete surface.
