Outrigger Support
20190234086 · 2019-08-01 ·

An outrigger beam support that comprises a fall protection anchor that comprises a plate, an anchor post coupled with a first side of the plate, and at least one member on a second side of the plate, the member being substantially perpendicular and spaced inwardly from the plate's perimeter, and the plate and/or member(s) may have holes to accommodate fasteners. The outrigger beam support further comprises a support post with a first end that operatively couples with the anchor post, and a second end of the support post is attached to a beam holder adapted to hold an outrigger support beam.

SAFETY CLIMB ATTENUATION APPARATUS
20190201724 · 2019-07-04 ·

A safety climb attenuation apparatus provides a more robust and visually inspectable apparatus for climbing safety. In an upper bracket, a pivot arm is attached to a base that is disposed upon a structure. The upper bracket includes an attenuation member such as an elastic bushing, mounted on the pivot arm or the base, that resists pivoting of the pivot arm relative to the base when a safety cable attached to the pivot arm causes the pivot arm to pivot. In a lower bracket, a similar attenuation member is attached to a base disposed on the structure, with an anchor bolt connecting the cable to the attenuation member so that the attenuation member resists upward movement of the cable.

A structural post for fall arrest and rope access has a baseplate having baseplate fixing holes. A vertical mast is attached to an upper surface of the baseplate, and a main attachment plate comprising main attachment plate fixing holes is affixed to an upper end of the mast. The structural post may be mounted to concrete floor garden landscapes, steel structures and the like on high-rise buildings, for fall arrest and rope access, and which facilitates versatility and adaptability for various locations and applications, for construction, beside cleaning and other building and maintenance activities.

Equipotential mat using wire mesh netting

Disclosed is an equipotential (EPZ) matting for creating an equipotential zone at a work site. A wire mesh of the EPZ matting is constructed by first cutting desired lengths of cable and laying the lengths of cable parallel and adjacent to each other. The cables are then connected to one another at regularly spaced intervals along the cables using pressed metal ferrules. The connections are staggered as between adjacent cables to create an evenly spaced, open mesh pattern when the wire mesh is tensioned perpendicularly to the longitudinal axes of the cables when initially laid along side one another. The wire mesh is opened and pulled tight for use as EPZ matting on the work site. After work is completed, the mesh is closed and bundled for transport, storage, and re-use.

Safety band longitudinal and transverse control

This invention provides fall protection systems comprising a suspension fabric, supported by a grid-work of longitudinal and lateral bands, in metal building construction. The fall protection system uses safety clips to attach lateral bands to intermediate purlins, and also provides novel attachments of the lateral bands to eaves and ridges whereby the respective eave and/or the ridge absorbs an enhanced portion of the force of impact when an object falls onto the fall protection system. The invention further provides methods of installing such systems, and buildings embodying such systems.

SAFETY AND DEBRIS DROP NETTING SYSTEM AND RELATED METHODOLOGY
20180274251 · 2018-09-27 ·

A drop netting system configured to installation on a building slab such as a balcony to protect against falling debris, overspray, concrete, and the like. The system includes plurality of spaced apart brackets disposed around the perimeter of the slab so as to form an array of attachment points for a drop net to be attached to and suspended from the brackets. The brackets extend outward from the edge of the slab and are each optionally angled slightly upward from the surface of the slab. A drop net is secured to the distal end of each bracket and suspended therefrom such that the drop net is spaced away from the edge of the slab to permit construction workers to have access of the slab edge in order to carry out construction work. The drop netting system can be installed on adjacent floors to encase the space between the floors.

SHUTTLE DEVICE

The present invention is directed to a shuttle device for a height safety system, the device including a first member having an inner wall defining a recess, the inner wall terminating at two sides to define a first opening. The device further includes a second member received in the recess of the first member, the second member being slidable relative to the first member to facilitate movement of the device between a locked condition and an unlocked condition. In the locked condition, the second member and a side of the inner wall define a second opening, the second opening being smaller than the first opening.

Vacuum anchor system
10016636 · 2018-07-10 · ·

A vacuum anchor for securing a fall protection system to a surface has a gas inlet to receive pressurized gas from a gas container and generates a vacuum to secure the anchor to a surface. An attachment enables a fall protection system to be connected to the anchor, the attachment being rotatably mounted to the anchor. A container mounting device is provided for mounting the gas container to the anchor in connection with the gas inlet, the container mounting means being rotatable with the rotatable. Alternatively or additionally, the gas inlet is coaxial with the axis of rotation of the attachment means.
