METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR DYEING HAIR FIBRES USING RADIO FREQUENCY ELECTROMAGNETIC RADIATION
The present invention relates to a method for dyeing hair fibres, in particular a method which involves coating hair fibres with a hair dye composition and directing radio frequency electromagnetic radiation to the coated hair fibres to cause heating within the coated hair fibres by dielectric loss. The present invention also relates to kits and appliances for use in connection with the method, as well as the use of radio frequency electromagnetic radiation in reducing the effective dye-treatment time for hair fibres. In one aspect, there is provided a method of dyeing hair fibres, said method comprising the steps of: i) coating one or more hair fibres with a hair dye composition; and ii) directing radio frequency electromagnetic radiation having one or more frequencies from 1 MHz to 300 MHz to the one or more coated hair fibres to cause heating within the one or more coated hair fibres by dielectric loss. Preferably, the hair dye composition used in step i) is a permanent or demi-permanent hair dye composition that may be prepared by combining a dye lotion containing one or more dye precursors and an activator solution containing an activating agent, wherein the activating agent in the activator solution converts the one or more dye precursors in the dye lotion to active dye agents.
Combination of a light ray with a cytochrome C oxidase substrate particularly for improving the appearance of the skin and/or hair
The present invention relates more specifically to a cosmetic treatment method intended in particular to improve the appearance of the skin and/or hair comprising the simultaneous and/or sequential administration: a) of at least one cytochrome C oxidase substrate and/or of at least one agent which increases the expression of the said substrate; and b) of at least one light radiation exhibiting at least one predominant wavelength which activates cytochrome C oxidase. In particular, the said light radiation exhibits at least one predominant wavelength which activates cytochrome C oxidase ranging from 550 to 1000 nm, in particular from 550 to 800 nm, preferably from 620 to 700 nm and more preferably still from 640 to 680 nm and is preferably used at a dose ranging from 0.01 to 200 J/cm.sup.2, preferably from 0.1 to 30 J/cm.sup.2, more preferably from 1 to 30 J/cm.sup.2, indeed even from 5 to 30 J/cm.sup.2. The invention also relates to a composition comprising at least one cytochrome C oxidase substrate and/or one agent which increases the expression of the said substrate and at least one compound emitting and/or filtering, in particular under exposure to light, a light radiation exhibiting at least one predominant wavelength which activates cytochrome C oxidase, and to a kit comprising at least one composition comprising at least one cytochrome C oxidase substrate and/or one agent which increases the expression of the said substrate and one device and/or one compound emitting/filtering a light radiation exhibiting at least one predominant wavelength which activates cytochrome C oxidase.
Delivery Carrier For Tooth Whitening
A multi-phase oral composition and delivery carrier for whitening teeth.
REMOVABLE COATING SYSTEMS AND METHODS
Disclosed herein are coating compositions that may include at least one urethane (meth)acrylate oligomer having a molecular weight between about 2,000 g/mol and about 50,000 g/mol and at least one cycloaliphatic (meth)acrylate. The coating compositions may also optionally include at least one photo-initiator, adhesion promoter, pigment, dye and/or plasticizer. The coating compositions may be hardened, after application, by curing by exposure to radiant energy, by exposure to electron beam radiation, by exposure to heat, by exposure to chemicals and combinations thereof. Upon hardening, the coating composition typically has two phases, a soft phase which has a Tg between −50° C. and 0° C. and a hard phase which has a Tg between 60° C. and 120° C. Methods of using the coating compositions are also described.
Non-thermal atmospheric plasma to treat hair loss
Non-thermal Atmospheric Plasma (NAP) from a plasma source is mixed with a liquid medium and the resulting compound is applied to the scalp to treat hair loss. The NAP-medium compound may be applied to the surface of the scalp, or produced in situ, or injected into the scalp.
PHOTOCURABLE COMPOSITION FOR TOPCOAT OF NAILS OR ARTIFICIAL NAILS
The object of the present invention is to provide a photocurable composition for a topcoat of nails or artificial nails having excellent glossiness and a colorless and transparent outer appearance.
The present invention is related to a photocurable composition for a topcoat of nails or artificial nails including the following components (A) to (C), including 40 to 70% by mass of trimethylol propane trimethacrylate relative to the total amount of the component (B), and satisfying that a cured product thereof with a thickness of 800 μm has transmittance of 10.0% or higher at a wavelength of 400 nm:
component (A); a (meth)acrylic oligomer;
component (B): a trifunctional (meth)acrylic monomer contained at 50 to 100 parts by mass relative to 100 parts by mass of the component (A); and
component (C): a photopolymerization initiator contained at 1 to 20 parts by mass relative to 100 parts by mass of the component (A).

LIQUID ENCAPSULATION METHOD AND COMPOSITIONS AND USES RELATED THERETO
Present disclosure provides a method of forming a liquid-encapsulated core material, encapsulated core material compositions, and uses thereof, where the encapsulated core material is formed by providing an interfacial fluid layered on a host fluid, and passing a core material through the interfacial fluid and into the host fluid such that the interfacial fluid forms a shell around the core material. By so encapsulating the core material, it is protected from the host fluid.
