Acoustically-activated cosmetic hydrogels
A composition that includes an activatable aggregate is described herein. The aggregate has a core and a shell. In some embodiments, when the aggregate is exposed to acoustic energy, the core of the aggregate includes a hydrogel that is capable of absorbing a relatively large amount of water. The core of the aggregate is covalently bound to a shell of linear aliphatic moieties. The aggregate is synthesized to minimize the amount of water in the core, prior to exposure to acoustic energy. Methods of hydrating using the compositions are also provided.
Compositions and methods for treating skin conditions
The dermatological compositions deliver water and/or other hydrophilic compounds into or through the dermis using reverse micelles. The compositions include an oil-based continuous phase and an emulsifier that form nanoparticle micelles. The nanoparticle micelles are formulated into biocompatible topical ointments that are stable at room temperature and can be distributed in consumer packaging and consumer distribution channels.
Removable tattoo ink and the use thereof
Provided is a removable tattoo ink that is composed of colored micro-particles that create permanent tissue markings, such as tattoos. The micro-particles include an inner core housing a bio-absorbable chromophore and an outer shell, which includes polystyrene sulfonate and polyallylamine hydrochloride and is designed for rupture with ultrasonic energy. The micro-particles can be implanted in the tissue of a subject, for example to create a tattoo and ruptured in situ by the application of ultrasonic energy to remove the tattoo. Also provided are methods of making the colored micro-particles.
A NON-THERAPEUTIC COSMETIC METHOD FOR REDUCING WRINKLES ON A SKIN SURFACE
The present invention provides a non-therapeutic cosmetic method for treating a skin surface, said method comprising the combination of a medium with ultrasound waves, wherein the medium includes a suitable cosmetic product.
One aspect according to the present invention provides a non-therapeutic cosmetic method for reducing wrinkles on a skin surface, the method comprising the steps of applying an ultrasound transmission medium onto the skin surface to be treated, wherein the medium includes cosmetic actives/formula and applying ultrasound waves to the skin surface with the applied medium. The ultrasound waves produce acoustic output. The ultrasound waves have a frequency of 10 KHz to 50 MHz, preferably 30 KHz to 20 MHz, and more preferably 1 MHz to 10 MHz. The ultrasound waves are generated so that the ultrasound waves propagate in the skin to a maximum depth of 3 mm from the skin surface and generate a rise in temperature of the skin at the application zones.
BEAUTY TREATMENT METHOD, FORMULATION AND PRODUCT FOR THE SCALP AND HAIR
This invention provides a beauty treatment method for the scalp and hair and formula and product for the same. The formula is a water-containing cosmetic composition. The beauty treatment method of this invention utilizes an ultrasonic atomizer to atomize the water-containing cosmetic composition into fine mist droplets ranging from 10 nanometers to 100 micrometers in diameters. The atomized water-containing cosmetic composition is then sprayed onto the scalp in the direction against hair stream and massaged into the scalp against the direction of hair stream. The product of this invention is an ultrasonic atomizer filled with the water-containing cosmetic formulation.
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR DETOXIFYING SCALP USING HENNA
The present invention is characterized to include a first washing step of removing impurities from scalp and hair, an applying step of applying a mixture of henna and 15 C. to 25 C. water in a ratio of 1:1 to 1:5 to the scalp and the hair and aging for one to two hours with the scalp and the hair covered with an air blocking cover, a second washing step of washing the scalp and the hair to remove the mixture, a drying step of thermally drying the scalp and the hair by a drier providing air at 60 C. to 100 C., and a stimulating step of providing any one or more of an electrical stimulus and a physical stimulus to the scalp for 10 to 30 minutes by a device providing meridian scrapping or a higher frequency.
SYSTEMS, DEVICES, AND METHODS INCLUDING ENCAPSULATED COSMETICS
Single layer and multilayer vesicles with actives inside are delivered into living tissue. Then, the vesicles are disrupted using ultrasound. The vesicles are used to create an image in the tissue or for the delivery of certain actives to the skin.
Soft capsule shell
Provided are a plant-derived soft capsule shell having a high shell sheet strength, a good adhesive property, and excellent shell performance, and a soft capsule. The soft capsule shell comprises: (A) iota carrageenan; and (B) a starch dispersion obtained by ultrasonically treating a starch paste solution.
GASTROINTESTINAL TRACT THERAPEUTIC AGENTS
Disclosed is a method of preventing or treating a condition of the gastrointestinal tract. The method includes the steps of providing a DNA repair composition, the DNA repair composition comprising at least one DNA repair enzyme, the DNA repair composition configured for administration within the gastrointestinal tract of a patient; and administering the DNA repair composition to the patient, such that the DNA repair composition is absorbed within the gastrointestinal tract of the patient to treat the condition of the gastrointestinal tract.
TOPICAL FORMULATION FOR SKIN CARE
Disclosed herein is a method of preparing a subject's cells for topical treatment of a subject in need. Also provided is a topical formulation and methods of treating a subject suffering a skin disorder and pain using the topical formulation. Also disclosed herein are devices and systems for micronizing an aspirate in preparation of such a topical formulation.
