Manufacturing method for cosmetic composition of fucoidan and cosmetic composition comprising low molecular weight fucoidan using the same
A method for manufacturing a fucoidan cosmetic composition includes: washing mozuku to eliminate residual salt and impurities; adding citric acid to the washed mozuku and pulverizing the mozuku; adding water to the pulverized mozuku and performing reflux extraction to obtain a high molecular weight fucoidan; adding a neutralizing agent to the high molecular weight fucoidan for neutralization; adding diatomite to the neutralized high molecular weight fucoidan and causing a reaction for 30 minutes for deodorization; filtering the deodorized high molecular weight fucoidan to eliminate insoluble substances; adding a lactic acid bacterium to the high molecular weight fucoidan removed of the insoluble substances and causing fermentation to obtain a low molecular weight fucoidan; concentrating the purified low molecular weight fucoidan with a reduced pressure evaporator; and powdering the concentrated low molecular weight fucoidan through freeze drying.
VENTED WOUND DRESSING BARRIER
A vented wound dressing barrier includes one or more membrane layers with a plurality of vents. The vents are cut along a perimeter of the vents through the one or more membrane layers. Each vent having a connection portion uncut relative to the one or more membrane layers thereby forming a hinge configured to allow the vents to open for drainage when exposed to fluid underlying the vented wound dressing barrier. The plurality of vents is each cut along the perimeter without removal of any of the membrane layer. The one or more membrane layers with the plurality of vents has a surface for covering a wound, the surface area in the absence of a fluid pressing on the vents having no openings or voids which reduce the surface area of a vented wound dressing barrier area covering a wound.
METHOD FOR EXTRACTING ODOUR FROM PLANT MATERIAL IN SOLID FORM
The invention relates to the field of natural scents and fragrances. More particularly, the invention relates to a process for extracting scents from a plant material and to the provision thereof in solid form. This process combines steps of extraction, gas dissolution, cryogenicization, or even freeze-drying. The scent thus captured in the form of a deep-frozen matrix or of dehydrated powder can be used as a natural perfuming ingredient, in particular in cosmetics. The invention relates very particularly to the obtaining of perfuming extracts derived from mute flowers.
Polyacrylate oil gel and methods
Described are personal care compositions comprising a polyacrylate oil gel, comprising: (a) at least one cosmetically acceptable hydrophobic ester oil, and (b) one or more polymers comprising: (i) a first polymerized unit, comprising: (1) 75% to 35% by weight, based on the weight of said polymerized unit, one or more (meth)acrylate monomers selected from at least one of C1-C4 (meth)acrylate, (meth)acrylic acid, styrene, or substituted styrene, and (2) 25% to 65% by weight, based on the weight of said polymerized unit, one or more hydrophobic monomers, including hydrophobically substituted (meth)acrylate monomers, with alkyl chain length from C6 to C22 and, (ii) a second polymerized unit, comprising: (1) 10-99% by weight, based on the weight of said polymerized unit, one or more monomers which has a Tg of more than 80° C. after polymer formation, (2) 1-10% of one or more (meth)acrylate monomers containing acid functional group, and (iii) optionally, a crosslinker.

Polypeptide particle and method for producing same
Polypeptide particles of the present invention are particles of a polypeptide derived from spider silk proteins, and have an average particle size of 1000 nm or less. A method for producing polypeptide particles of the present invention includes: a solution production step in which the polypeptide is dissolved in at least one solvent selected from the group consisting of DMSO, DMF, and these with an inorganic salt, so as to obtain a solution of the polypeptide; a step in which the solution produced in the solution production step is substituted with a water-soluble solvent so as to obtain an aqueous solution of the polypeptide; and a step in which the aqueous solution of the polypeptide is dried. Thereby, the present invention provides polypeptide particles suitable for application to a living body and capable of being applied to cosmetics, etc., while identifying the properties of the polypeptide particles, and a method for producing the same.
