Pit cover
Disclosed is a pit cover and method of installing the same. The pit cover includes a plate having a hole defining an area. A block having a threaded hole may be affixed to a bottom surface of the plate such that the threaded hole aligns with the area. A support is associated with the foundation and a groove is defined by one of the pit cover or the support. A protrusion is defined by the other one of the pit cover or the support. The groove narrows from a first width towards a second width. The first width is disposed relative to the second width such that insertion of the protrusion into the groove causes an end of the protrusion to pass the first width prior to passing the second width. The protrusion interacts with the groove to align the pit cover at a predetermined position relative to the foundation.
Single container wind resistant modular ISO building
A single container wind resistant modular ISO building includes a cargo container, and a pitched roof. However, the pitched roof structure is optional. The cargo container includes a bottom frame, a top frame, four corner tubes, two lengthwise side walls, an end wall, a top plate, a floor plate and an end door. At least one window system and at least one door entrance 124 are formed in at least one of the lengthwise side walls.
Rear mounted snow plow system for an automobile
A snow plow system for an automobile features a frame connectable to a hitch receiver, a blade movable by an electrically powered actuator between a lowered snow-clearing position a raised transport position, a power unit placed within a trunk space of the automobile, a power connection line between the power unit and the actuator, and a wireless remote operable from a passenger cabin of the automobile. The power connection line traverses through a gasket sealed space between the trunk lid and trunk walls, thereby powering the device without any modification to the automobile. A flexible member connected between the actuator and the blade is operable to raise and lower the blade in a controlled manner under operation of the actuator, while allowing the blade to momentarily trip over ground level obstructions during use. A biasing mechanism forces the blade back into the snow-clearing position once the obstruction is cleared.
Battery-Storage Apparatus and Battery-Exchange System
A battery-storage apparatus includes a plurality of cubbies having respective electrical ports, a tray bay having an adjustable frame that releasably holds a battery tray, and a robotic crane that transports batteries between the battery tray and respective cubbies to charge and/or discharge the batteries using the respective electrical ports. The battery tray can be transported to and from the tray bay by a battery-exchange robot.
VEHICLE SERVICE FACILITY
A vehicle service facility with one or more bays orientated at an angle with respect to the structure and/or adjacent facility roads (e.g., entrance road and exit road) to allow for vehicles to enter into the one or more bays at an angle and/or to exit the one or more bays at an angle. The configuration of the structure and/or one or more bays therein reduces the turning angle for the vehicles entering and exiting the bays, and thus reducing the depth and/or width of the structure allowing for more efficient use of space for the footprint of the structure and/or for the area on which the structure is located (e.g., allowing for additional usage of the area and/or reducing in the size of the area needed for the structure).
