Earth auger and pole machine, and pole installation method
Described herein is an earth auger and pole machine for automated installation of poles in earth banks of access roads to open-pit mines. The earth auger and pole machine is fitted with a mechanic boom comprised of a first link and a second link. The first link has an end attached to a base fixed to a conveyor vehicle, and the other end coupled to the second link. The second link comprises a magazine for loading the poles, an auger system to drill the ground, and an installer to place the poles into the hole. This document also describes a method for installing poles in sequence by using the earth auger and pole machine.
Pole erection apparatus and method
A pole erection apparatus comprising a guide portion for receiving a pole longitudinally; a support portion that is pivotable with respect to the guide portion and which receives the pole and supports it pole longitudinally; and actuator for pivoting the support portion with respect to the guide portion between a relatively reclined state and a relatively upright state. In the relatively upright state, the respective bodies of the guide portion and the support portion are aligned with one another to allow the pole to slide longitudinally from the support portion into the guide portion.
METHOD AND COMPONENTS FOR FENCE/POST INSTALLATION
A post mount (1), adapted to be installed in a substrate and releasably receive a post therein, including: a body (2); and an insert (3), adapted to cooperate with the body; wherein, in use, the body is adapted to be driven into the substrate, and, thereafter, the insert is adapted to be at least partially deformed, to thereby anchor the post mount to the substrate.
FOUNDATION FOR THE SUPPORT OF A STRUCTURE AND METHOD OF INSTALLATION
A method for installing a foundation in a ground for supporting a structure thereon, the method comprising the drilling of a main column borehole in the ground along an axis parallel to an axis of a force exerted by a load of the structure, inserting a main column into the main column borehole, drilling at least one anchor borehole at an angle away from the main column, inserting an anchor into each of the at least one anchor borehole, injecting a sealant into each of the at least one anchor borehole, after the sealant is dry securing a base to a top of the main column, securing to the base and placing under tension each anchor inserted into each of the at least one anchor borehole, the tension being such as to counteract radial forces to be induced by the structure to a longitudinal axis of the main column.
POST SLEEVE POSITIONING APPARATUS AND RELATED METHODS
A post sleeve installation system can include a plurality of post sleeve installation devices and at least one spacing beam or mechanism. The spacing beam or mechanism can include end portions that rotate about multiple independent axes and can be coupled to a pair of post sleeve installation devices to determine or control the relative locations and orientations between two post sleeves. The post sleeve installation system can be used to install post sleeves for posts for a fence, a rail or other structure supported by posts.
Easy dump bucket with latchable door
An easy dump bucket for installation of post has a bucket that is essentially tubular with a bottom portion and an opening towards a front bottom portion of the bucket. A pair of door tracks are vertically and parallelly located along the sides of the opening. A door is slidably disposed within the tracks and rests against the bottom portion when closed. The door slides upward to an open position by moving it up. A handle is connected to the door and interacts with a latch that keeps the door open. The bottom portion of the bucket is angled to gravitationally direct fill material towards the opening. A lifting arm is attached to a top portion of the bucket to allow the bucket to be lifted into place during use. A guide portion is disposed along the top portion of the bucket on the same side as the opening.
Apparatus for plumbing transmission or distribution poles
An apparatus for plumbing a transmission or distribution pole comprising: multiple pole brackets connected with an adjustable ratchet strap; multiple scissor jacks with each having a jack mount; at least one power drill or hand crank to adjust the scissor jack; whereby the pole can be efficiently adjusted into the proper plumb or leveled position.
Systems and methods for supporting utility poles
A pole support system provides temporary support to a utility pole and comprises: a bracing element positioned adjacent to, and elongated in the direction of elongation of, the utility pole and securable to the utility pole; a ballast support frame comprising a base, positionable at a location spaced horizontally apart from the utility pole; mass positionable on, and removable from, the base of the ballast support frame; and a support system comprising one or more arms extending between the bracing element and the ballast support frame.
A Post
In a preferred embodiment of the invention there is a post comprising a plurality of poles 5 located in and extending from a ground surface adjacent to one another. A sleeve 1 is arranged around the poles 5 so that the sleeve and poles combine to provide a shaft. In this embodiment each pole has a tapered ground-engaging end 6 and the sleeve has a large compartment 2 for two of the poles 5 and a small compartment 3 for one of the poles.
FOUNDATION FOR A WIND POWER PLANT
A foundation for a wind power plant includes a circular or polygonal pedestal divided into several ring sections for carrying a tower and support elements extending radially outward from the pedestal, wherein the ring sections and the support elements are designed as prefabricated concrete elements or are assembled from prefabricated concrete elements, and wherein adjacent support elements are spaced from one another in the circumferential direction, adjacent support elements are each connected with one another by a tangentially extending beam designed as a prefabricated concrete element.
