Inflatable structure and method of transporting an inflatable structure

A structure is provided having a floor, and a canopy made from a flexible, substantially air-impermeable material and having a tubular rib. The canopy has an air inlet port by which the interior of the tubular rib can be connected to a source of compressed air, and is movable by the supply of compressed air from a collapsed state in which the tubular rib is deflated to an inflated state in which the tubular rib is inflated and supports the canopy in such a way that the canopy encloses an interior space above the floor and forms a roof and side walls of the structure. The floor has three substantially rigid floor panels which may be arranged together to form a substantially planar floor, or connected together to form the base and sides of a container in which the canopy can be stored when in the collapsed state.

The heat reflective shield includes a base panel and a concave body portion attached to and extending upward from the base panel and supported by at least two inflatable ribs. The concave body portion includes an open front face along a front edge of the base panel, an inner side, and an outer side, wherein at least a portion of the inner side includes a heat reflective material. When the inflatable ribs are filled with air, the heat reflective shield may accommodate a standing or seated person, and when positioned adjacent a heat source, the heat reflective material of the inner side reflects heat from the heat source back toward the heat source.

Air supported structures forming an enclosure via internal pressurized air, and methods of making same, are disclosed. The structures include an outer membrane defining an outer surface of the structure. The structures include an inner liner blanket coupled to the outer membrane via a plurality of spaced baffles extending from the outer membrane into the enclosure, the inner liner blanket and the inner surface of the outer membrane forming a heating pocket therebetween within the enclosure extending along a first portion of the outer membrane. The structures also include at least one input channel in communication with the heating pocket, and at least one heated air system configured to selectively direct a flow of heated air through the at least one input channel and into the heating pocket to heat the first portion of the outer membrane to remove and/or prevent frozen precipitation accumulation on the outer surface thereof.

A panel is disposed within the interior volume of the base, wherein the panel includes a heating and cooling element that is operably connected to a power source and a thermostat. The thermostat selectively actuates the heating and cooling element, such that an internal temperature of the tent can be set by a user.
