DOOR LATCH ASSEMBLY
A door latch assembly includes a housing, an inside and outside handle operably coupled with the housing, and a latch plunger. A latch cam is operably coupled with the inside and outside handles, and the latch cam further includes a crank arm slidably disposed against an inclined surface of a plunger leg operably coupled to the latch plunger. A biasing member urges the latch plunger to an extended position, wherein rotation of the inside or outside door latch handle in a first direction rotates the crank arm of the latch cam and displaces the plunger leg of the latch plunger and the latch plunger to a retracted position against the urging of the biasing member.
Retractable cable locking device
A retractable cable locking device, which includes a housing having a top and a bottom, a non-rotatable axle extending between the top and the bottom, a plurality of rotatable assemblies disposed within the housing where each rotatable assembly comprises a rotatable planar member and where each rotatable assembly can be separately rotated around the non-rotatable axle, a plurality of locking cables each having a first end which is attached to a different one of the plurality of planar members, a plurality of locking pins where each locking pin is disposed on a different distal end of a different locking cable, and a plurality of lock mechanisms wherein each lock mechanism will accept and fixture any one of the plurality of locking pins.
VARIABLE SPRING RATE CHASSIS
An apparatus including a chassis assembly having a housing, a spindle rotatably mounted to the housing, a spring collar rotatably mourned to the housing, a first biasing element rotationally urging the spindle toward a spindle home position, and a second biasing element rotationally urging the spring collar toward a spring collar home position. The apparatus may further include a handle mounted on the chassis such that the chassis biases the handle to a handle home position with a return torque. The handle is engaged with the spindle such that the first biasing element contributes to the return torque. In certain embodiments, the handle may further be engaged with the spring collar such that the second biasing element contributes to the return torque.
LOCK ASSEMBLY FOR SLIDING DOOR LATCH
A lock and strike assembly is disclosed which is coupled to a latch assembly for a sliding door. The latch assembly includes a movable tongue or latch bar with two oppositely disposed catches. The lock assembly includes a housing, a solenoid housing having a solenoid coupled to a d.c. power source and controlling electronics. The solenoid is coupled to a trapezoidal shaped dog which is pivotally coupled to the solenoid housing for reciprocal movement between an engaged position and a disengaged position. The strike assembly is mounted to the lock assembly for locking engagement with the catch of the latch assembly.
PADDLE LOCK
A paddle lock has a body, a lever, a latch, a locking bolt, and a bolt driving device. The lever is pivotally mounted on the body. The latch is mounted retractably in the body and is connected with the lever. The locking bolt is mounted slidably in the body and has a bolt rod, a retractable head, and a spring. The bolt rod is mounted slidably in the body. The retractable head is connected retractably to an end of the bolt rod and selectively extends out of the body. The spring is connected between the bolt rod and the retractable head. The bolt driving device is mounted in the body and is connected with the bolt rod of the locking bolt to push the locking bolt to extend out of the body or to retract the locking bolt into the body.
Independent RX spring cartridge for a mortise lock
A spring cartridge for a mortise lock includes a housing adapted to be secured within the mortise lock housing, and first and second members slideable with respect to the spring cartridge housing, the first and second members each having a first end adapted to contact an outer surface of first and second spindle hubs and being independently actuable along a longitudinal axis of the spring cartridge housing in response to rotation of the first or second spindle hub. A spring retained by the spring cartridge housing contacts a second end of the first and second members to bias each of the members against the outer surface of the first and second spindle hubs, respectively. Upon rotation of one of the hubs, the member contacting the hub permits the hub to rotate, while the member contacting the other hub prevents the other hub from rotating.
DOOR LOCK CHASSIS ASSEMBLY
An apparatus that at least assists in maintaining a lever or knob of a lock device in a relatively neutral and static position. The apparatus includes a biasing element that can be constructed from a compliant material that may at least assist in reducing impact forces between interfacing surfaces at least when the lever or knob is returns to the neutral, static position from one or more activated positions. The compliant nature of the damper can further alleviate issues relating to manufacturing tolerances and wear between interfacing surfaces.
Motor vehicle lock
The invention relates to a motor vehicle lock (1), comprising a lock housing (2), a lock plate, adjusting means (3, 4) which are received in the lock housing (2) and/or on the lock plate such that they can move, particularly swivel in at least in some regions, the adjusting means (3, 4) being positionable in at least two different positions (L1, L2), a spring element (5, 6), said spring element (5, 6) cooperating with the adjusting means (3, 4) in such a way that the spring element (5, 6) holds the adjusting means (3, 4) in the respective position (L1, L2), and the spring element (5, 6) being attached to the adjusting means (3, 4) such that the adjusting means (3, 4) can move together with the spring element (5, 6).
Fuel lid structure
A fuel lid structure that includes: a lid body at which a latched portion is formed, the lid body opening and closing an open portion formed in a vehicle body outer panel for access to a fuel fill inlet; a lid lock having: a lock member provided so as to be movable between a latching position in which the lock member latches with the latched portion and a retracted position in which the lock member is retracted from the latched portion, and an urging member that urges the lock member toward the latched portion, the lid lock locking the lid body in a closed position in a case in which the latched portion is latched by the lock member; and an attenuating member provided at the latched portion, the attenuating member contacting the lock member to attenuate the urging force that acts on the lock member.
