20230295961 · 2023-09-21 · ·

The invention of the present disclosure may be a pressure sensitive locking mechanism comprising a body comprising a flex portion and an anchor portion. The locking mechanism may further comprise a tab disposed on a guard, where the tab may be orthogonal to the guard. In an embodiment, locking mechanism is configurable in a locked state and an unlocked state, where the tab may be configured to receive a pressure, where application of the pressure may be configured to convert the lock from the locked state to the unlocked state, and withdrawal of the pressure may be configured to convert the lock from the unlocked state to the locked state. The locking mechanism may be integrated with a slidable container, enabling reversible locking.

Closure latch assembly with child lock having asymmetrical toggle spring arrangement

Latch assemblies to secure a door, drawer, or other enclosure are disclosed. An assembly may include a latch and a catch. A latch arm is bendable to transition between an engaging position and a disengaged position. The latch may include a curved flexible support to provide a desired resistance to bending of the latch arm, and the flexible support may be vertically separated from the latch arm. The latch may be made of a unitary piece.

DOOR LATCH ASSEMBLY

A latch feature for a door is disclosed herein. The latch feature includes an input body that is operable to move linearly between first and second positions relative to the door. The latch feature also includes an output body. The output body is coupled to the input body by a pivot member that is configured to pivot relative to the output body and the input body to allow the output body to move linearly toward the input body from an outboard position to an inboard position as the input body moves from the first position to the second position.

Vent stop

A window vent stop for use in a sliding sash window or a sliding sash door assembly. The vent stop includes a housing and a tumbler. The housing is adapted to be disposed in a recess in a rail or stile of the window/door. This housing includes a cavity with a bottom wall therein. The tumbler has at least one pivot for pivotally securing the tumbler to the housing for movement between an extended position, to prevent movement of the sliding member, and a retracted position, to allow movement of the sliding member. The tumbler is formed with a protruding spring member for selectively biasing the tumbler. The housing has one or more flexible members extending from each of its end walls to secure the housing within the opening in the sash member.

Appliance latch striker

A latch system provides a latch striker including a flexible arm that can navigate a hook on the latch striker through an aperture in a corresponding latch mechanism. The aperture provides a tortuous passageway through which a hook on the latch striker must pass to activate an internal switch allowing operation of the appliance.

The invention relates to a motor vehicle door lock which is equipped with a locking mechanism consisting substantially of a rotary latch and a pawl. A triggering element is additionally provided in order to lift the pawl and thereby open the locking mechanism. The motor vehicle door lock finally comprises an accumulator element which is impinged upon by a spring and which holds the pawl in the lifted position until the rotary latch is opened. According to the invention, the spring and the accumulator element form one component. Furthermore, the spring and the accumulator element are designed as a spring lip which impinges upon the trigger element.

IMPLEMENTING LATCHING MECHANISM PRODUCING VARIABLE PRELOAD

A method and structures are provided for implementing a latching mechanism with a variable spring preload feature. The latching mechanism includes a latch housing and a latch slide. The latching mechanism includes a variable spring preload internal within the latch housing. The latch housing and latch slide have a standardized outer configuration to be incorporated in various products and configurations of hardware. The spring preload feature being varied to ensure latching mechanism remains latched during use.
