Dual locking system with user controllable plate
A dual locking system including a combination mechanism and a key mechanism is provided, including a control plate to control access to the key mechanism. When the control plate is positioned in a blocking position, the control plate blocks access to the key hole of the key mechanism. The control plate can be released from the blocking position by turning the dials of the combination mechanism to the correct combination. The released control plate can be moved to an exposure position, which allows access to the key hole.
Mechanical composite lock
A mechanical composite lock includes a bottom plate and an upper shell, wherein an accommodation space is formed between the bottom plate and the upper shell; the accommodation space is provided with two groups of locking hooks; an inserting hole is formed in the upper shell; two moving pieces are arranged in the accommodation space; the opening directions of the two groups of locking hooks are opposite to each other; a middle transmission mechanism, a lock cylinder device and a password device are arranged in the accommodation space; the middle transmission mechanism is connected with the moving pieces respectively; the accommodation space is provided with a moving space; the lock cylinder device and the password device are respectively connected with the middle transmission mechanism; the lock can be opened at one time through the lock cylinder device and can also be sequentially opened through the password device.
Electric lock device for furniture and storage
An electric lock device for furniture or storage has an RFID transmitter/receiver for communication with portable data carriers. A controller detects a data carrier nearby, reads a set of data from it, and determines if the data carrier is at least an access requesting or function determining type. If access requesting, the controller retrieves identity information from the read set of data, compares the identity information to stored reference information, and controls an electric activator for a securing member. If function determining, the controller retrieves function determining information from the read set of data and performs any of the following: switching to any of a plurality of operational modes having different principles for access control; reading an operational status; or setting an operational parameter. At least one of these actions is variable controlled and based on a variable value in the function determining information.

METHOD OF IMPROVING AIRLINE LUGGAGE INSPECTION
Method of making airline luggage inspection secure while accommodating the needs of the traveler comprises making a special lock available to airline travelers, the special lock having a combination lock portion and a master key lock, the master key lock portion receiving a master key that can open the master key lock portion of any special lock of this type. The special lock is designed to be applied to an individual piece of airline luggage and has indicia conveying to luggage purchasers that the special lock is approved by a luggage screening authority and conveying to the luggage screening authority that the special lock can be opened using the master key. The method includes providing the luggage screening authority directly or indirectly with exclusive access to the master key. The manufacturers and/or providers of the master key and special lock retain copies of the master key.
Luggage Tracking Device, Systems and Methods
A luggage tracking device, method and system. The luggage tracking device includes a tracking device for capturing information, including location information received from a network and state information from at least one or more locks of an item of luggage. The luggage-tracking device may be configured for integration within the item of luggage. There is also provided a locking apparatus for securing an item of luggage. The locking apparatus has a locking element which is movable between a first locked state and a second unlocked state. The apparatus includes a first locking means operable to control movement of the locking element. The apparatus also includes a first sensor associated with the first locking means for detecting operation of the first locking means.

COMBINATION LOCK
A programmable combination lock with keyed lock override is disclosed. The lock employs a stack of rings and dial wheels, with a mechanism for coupling and decoupling the rings and dial wheels. A user can program a custom code by unlocking the combination and rotating the inner and outer dial wheels until the desired code is indicated, and then locking the combination lock to set the code. A keyed lock with a master key couples to the combination lock and can override a combination lock in the locked state. The keyed lock allows multiple keys to lock and unlock the combination lock. In the event that a user loses the master key, the user can use the second key to create a new lock combination to operate the lock, yet render the lost master key inoperable.
