Authentication and Unlocking System and Method Utilizing Magnetic Actuation
A magnetically actuated authentication and unlocking system is provided that is particularly suited for integration into a firearm, but that can also be incorporated into any device that requires an operator to hold a grip, handle or stick controller. The system includes a locking mechanism that is installed in a device and an unlocking mechanism that is preferably incorporated into wearable gear, such as a glove. The system utilizes magnets in the locking mechanism and unlocking mechanism, such that when a user wearing an unlock mechanism encoded with the correct magnetic key holds the device with the locking mechanism, the locking mechanism unlocks the device.
SECURITY SCREENING OF CHECKED LUGGAGE -- METHOD AND EQUIPMENT
Method of securing and screening luggage with locks that the TSA and similar entity can open to screen travelers' luggage and dual-function locks used in the method, wherein the method comprises using first locks that the screening entity can open with a first master key and have the same traveler-operated portions, second locks that open with a second master key that is different from the first master key and have traveler-operated portions that differ from one second lock to another, and third locks that open with a third master key that differs from the first and second master keys and at least a portion of each third lock is permanently mounted to luggage of a selected brand only, wherein all first, second, and third locks have the same indicia identifying them as locks that the screening entity can open without breaking them or luggage.
Locks for storage containers and the like
Locks for storage containers having closures such as doors, covers or lids are disclosed. The lock is mounted to the closure and is latched in such a manner as to selectively prevent opening or removal of the closure. The latch of the lock can engage a slot in the storage container, a bracket on the storage container, or a strike on the storage container. Alternatively, the latch can engage a mounting bracket on the door or other portion of the door to selectively block movement of a handle for the door. Further, the latch can have a locking device which can selectively block movement of the latch. Movement of the locking device can be selectively controlled by a magnetic key.

Tamper-resistant lock
A locking system includes a tamper-resistant lock and key. The tamper-resistant lock can include a cylindrical lock body with an upper portion having an engagement surface defining a pattern of engagement features, a housing, and a hidden component sized and shaped to fit within the housing that includes an internal lock base into which the cylindrical lock body fastens and a padlock pin configured to secure the internal lock base to a hasp or staple. The key operable for use with the tamper-resistant lock can include a cylindrical key body defining an engagement cavity configured to receive the engagement surface of the cylindrical lock body, a set of complementary engagement features, a plurality of retractable engagement members, and a retractable collar at least partially covering the cylindrical key body.
COMBINATION NON-PROGRAMMABLE AND PROGRAMMABLE KEY FOR SECURITY DEVICE
A security device for an item of merchandise is provided. The security device includes a non-programmable locking mechanism comprising a mechanical lock and a programmable locking mechanism comprising a monitoring circuit operatively coupled to an alarm. The security device is configured to secure an item of merchandise from theft or removal when the mechanical lock is locked and to be separated from the item of merchandise when the mechanical lock is unlocked. The alarm is configured to provide an alarm signal if the security device is separated from the item of merchandise while the monitoring circuit is armed.
A KEY FOR A LOCK AND A COMBINATION OF A CYLINDER LOCK AND A REVERIBLE FLAT KEY
The key (1) for a lock (2), comprises at least a lever (9) having a first arm (10) for starting movement and a second arm (11) for activating a tumbler element of the lock (2), the lever (9) being pivoted to the shaft (4) of the key (1) with an oscillating axis thereof being transversal to the longitudinal axis of the shaft (4) of the key (1), the first lever arm (10) and the second lever arm (11) being located on a same face (5) of the shaft (4) of the key (1).

Further, the latch can have a locking device which can selectively block movement of the latch. Movement of the locking device can be selectively controlled by a magnetic key.
MAGNETIC ANTI-THEFT DEVICE
A magnetic anti-theft device, includes: a control circuit, in connection with a plurality of magnetic sensors and a control unit; the plurality of magnetic sensors, allowing different magnetic induction strengths to be preset; and a unlock piece, configured with a plurality of magnetic elements corresponding to the magnetic induction strengths of the plurality of magnetic sensors, whereby, when the correct unlock piece is placed on the magnetic sensors, the plurality of magnetic sensors will induct correct magnetic forces, the control unit is driven to release a monitoring state after interpretation of the control circuit; if the induction is incorrect, the control unit is driven to form a warning action after the interpretation of the control circuit so as to achieve an anti-theft effect and increase safety effectively probably because the magnetic force of the magnetic element of the unlock piece is too small or too large.
Product security device with engagement pin
Example product security devices and associated methods are provided. An example product security device may include a first jaw and a second jaw that are operably coupled together to slide between an open position and a closed position. The example product security device may include a locking mechanism. In a locked state, the locking mechanism may permit movement of the first jaw towards the second jaw but prevent movement away from the second jaw. The example product security device may also include a product engagement pin. The product engagement pin may fasten the product security device to a product by piercing through the product and being received by the second jaw. A shroud having a shroud orifice may surround the product engagement pin and be operably coupled to the first jaw such that the shroud is movable relative to the product engagement pin. The example security device may also include a signal emitting component, a QR code, a barcode, or combination thereof.
