A bicycle security device and associated bicycle theft alert or security systems are described. In some embodiments, the security devices and systems are configured to deter theft or other unauthorized uses of a bicycle, such as an electric bicycle, by providing multiple points or mechanisms of protection for the bicycle. For example, a bicycle security device, or bike lock, can include a cable or tether component integrated with a shackle of a wheel lock mechanism, which enables a rider to secure his/her bicycle via two integrated mechanisms of deterrence or protection within the bike lock.

A cable lock has lock body, a cable and a wheel. The first end of the cable can be securely latched to the lock body and the second end is securely attached to the wheel so that the cable can be retracted into the lock body when the lock is in the open mode. The lock has a plurality of clutches and a plurality of dials to control the rotational movement of the clutches. The dials and clutches form a combination mechanism to control the locking and the unlocking of the lock using a combination code. When the setting of the dials matches the combination code, a release button can be used to release the first end of the cable from the lock body. The lock also has a retract button to enable the retraction of the cable, and a reset button to disengage the dials from the clutches.

A securement device for use in a vehicle. The device includes a retainer for holding or storing an object such as a firearm. The device utilizes an inflatable pillow to hold the device in position in the vehicle. It also includes an attachment that couples to the retainer and allows for adjustment of the orientation of the retainer.

A smart cable lock is provided that is configured to mechanically secure items and provide an automatic determination that securing is achieved. The smart cable may be integrated into a vehicle, or otherwise may communicate with a vehicle. The vehicle includes one or more ports configured to house the cable when not in use. In some embodiments, an accessory includes one or more ports configured to engage with the connector. In some embodiments, the cable is affixed to the vehicle at one end, using a retractor, for example, and can be unspooled, intertwined with equipment, and then secured to a port on the vehicle. The smart cable lock secures and releases a latch based on user indications and authorizations. For example, if the cable is destroyed or damaged, or an unauthorized indication is made, the cable lock system may sound an alarm, or otherwise alert the user.

This disclosure discloses a restraint device including a pair of bracelets that are adjustable in distance therebetween, while at least one of the bracelets can be dually engaged during a restraint and dually disengaged not during the restraint. Further, this disclosure discloses a sleeve to enable a restraint device to be converted from a chain style into a hinge style and vice versa. Additionally, this disclosure discloses a restraint device including a first arm and a second arm, where the second arm is elastically coupled to the first arm in order to avoid overtightening when restraining.

A portable electronic lock for luggage, comprising: a housing and a securement member in cooperation with the housing to secure an item to the lock; a locking mechanism in the housing in communication with the securement member to releasably secure the securement member to the housing; a communications module in the housing for operating the locking mechanism to release and secure the securement member in response to a wireless signal; and a secondary release system for releasing the locking mechanism, wherein the secondary release system is selectively operable by a user.
