Apparatus and method for hold open feature in a latch
A latch is disclosed herein. The latch having: a fork bolt movably mounted to the latch for movement between an open position and a closed position; a detent lever movably mounted to the latch for movement between a latched position and a released position, wherein the detent lever prevents the fork bolt from moving from the closed position to the open position when the detent lever is in the latched position; a bellcrank lever movably mounted to the latch for movement between a first position and a second position, wherein the bellcrank lever moves the detent lever from the latched position to the released position as the bellcrank lever moves from the first position to the second position; and a hold open feature movably mounted to the latch for movement between a first position and a second position, wherein the hold open feature is configured to engage and retain the bellcrank lever in the second position when the hold open feature is in the first position and wherein the hold open feature allows the bell crank lever to travel from the second position to the first position when the hold open feature is in the second position.

Latch Apparatus of Tailgate for Vehicle
A latch apparatus of a tailgate for a vehicle is disclosed. The apparatus includes a base supporting a driving motor for supplying power and having an insertion groove for inserting a striker. A latch lever is rotatably disposed close to the insertion groove of the base. The latch lever is pushed to rotate when the striker is inserted into the insertion groove, and covers the striker inserted in the insertion groove. A release unit is disposed close to the latch lever on the base. The release unit is configured to transmit power from the driving motor, fix a position of the latch lever rotating to cover the striker, and allow the latch lever to rotate when the driving motor is operated. A cinching unit, operated by the power from the driving motor, is disposed close to the release unit on the base.
LATCH ACTUATOR AND METHOD OF ACTUATING A LATCH
A latch actuator comprises a motor, a speed reduction gearing coupled to an output shaft of the motor, a spindle, and a motion conversion mechanism. The spindle has a threaded portion in engagement with the speed reduction gearing. The spindle is supported to be rotatable about an axis. The threaded portion is rotationally fixed relative to the spindle. The motion conversion mechanism is configured to cause a displacement of the spindle along the axis when the spindle rotates.
Lock with assisted closing device for a motor vehicle
A lock for a motor vehicle, comprising a locking mechanism composed of a rotary latch and at least one pawl, an assisted closing device, an electric drive, and a torque converter, wherein a variable torque is adjustable in the assisted closing device by means of the torque converter, and wherein the assisted closing is achieved at least in some regions by means of a frictional connection.
