METHOD, A SYSTEM AND A DEVICE FOR CONTROLLING A FRONT COMPARTMENT LID OF A VEHICLE
A method, system and device for controlling a front compartment lid of a vehicle includes a way of opening or closing of the lid of a front compartment of a vehicle via door handle of the vehicle. The system includes a control unit of the vehicle, a front compartment with a lid with electrically controlled locking and/or opening mechanism and at least one vehicle door handle, and a logical block configured to monitor a status of vehicle door handle by a sensor for position of door handle between open position and closed position; monitor the locking status of the locking and/or opening mechanism; and, in case of matching vehicle door handle sensor data with a preset threshold value, and depending on the current locking status of the front compartment lid, generate a control signal to the locking and/or opening mechanism of the front compartment lid.
Twist lock design for underhood striker plate
A striker plate includes a base having a surface for contacting a switch and a wall. At least one support projects from the wall. The at least one support supports the base in a hood inner panel. At least one locking tab extends from the wall. The at least one locking tab engages a cutout on the panel. The support is positioned with respect to the respective locking tab so that the support engage the cutouts. Upon rotation of the base, the locking tab engages the cutout locking the base in place on the hood inner panel.
Motor vehicle door lock
A motor vehicle door lock, such as a motor vehicle bonnet lock includes a locking mechanism which substantially consists of a rotary latch and a pawl. The locking mechanism interacts with a striker element on a bonnet. The lock further has an unlocking/opening mechanism for the bonnet, which mechanism is equipped with a release element provided in the interior of a motor vehicle body. The release element is operated twice to open the bonnet. The locking mechanism is transferred to a pre-latched position after the release element has been operated at least once, with the striker element still being trapped. The bonnet is opened from the pre-latched position by lifting the pawl off the rotary latch with the aid of a power mechanism, said lifting being activated separately.

Hood Release Lever Assembly and Mounting Structure Thereof
In an embodiment a hood release lever assembly includes a bracket and a hood release lever pivotally connected to the bracket, wherein the bracket includes a bracket body, a retention clip protruding from the bracket body, and a hooked rib located at a bottom end of the bracket body and wherein a free end of the hooked rib faces the retention clip.
Method for unlocking a hood of a vehicle
A method for unlocking a hood of a vehicle in which a latch and a safety catch are arranged for engaging a striker and a locking member is arranged for engaging the safety catch. The method includes displacing the safety catch if a predetermined vehicle condition is fulfilled from a closed state wherein the safety catch is in locking engagement with the striker to an open state where the safety catch is disengaged from the striker for moving the hood locking mechanism from the intermediate locked mode to an open mode.

Hood safety system for a vehicle
A hood safety system for a vehicle prevents a hood of the vehicle from being unlocked in a crash event. The system includes a hood locking mechanism and a crash safety mechanism attached to a front structure in a front section of the vehicle. The hood locking mechanism may manually release the hood from a locked position to an unlocked position. The crash safety mechanism includes a crash pin displaceable between an inactivated state and an activated state. In the inactivated state the crash pin is disengaged from the hood locking mechanism and, in the activated state, the crash pin engages the hood locking mechanism to prevent the hood locking mechanism from displacing the hood into the unlocked position. A front section of the vehicle, when deformed by a crash event, is configured to mechanically displace the crash pin from the inactivated state to the activated state.

Hood latch device for vehicle
A hood latch device for a vehicle is provided. The hood latch device includes a base that is secured to a vehicle body member. In addition, the hood latch device further includes a safety hook, a pawl and a claw, each of which is rotatably coupled to the base. Further, a first spring is coupled to a safety hook and to one end of a pawl that protrudes forward from the base. A second spring is coupled to the base and to the claw.
