Pyrotechnic Latch Actuator Responsive to a Decompression Detection System and Method
20190352946 · 2019-11-21 ·

A system for monitoring a pressure change within at least one compartment of an aircraft and operating a pyrotechnic device associated with a door latch, includes a securing mechanism arranged in an aircraft door that includes a pyrotechnic actuator and a latch bolt. The system includes the pyrotechnic actuator configured to move the latch bolt when the pyrotechnic actuator is actuated. The system also includes a pressure sensor configured to provide a pressure signal. The system also includes a controller configured to determine a pressure drop representing a decompression event. The system also includes an output driver configured to generate an output signal to actuate the pyrotechnic actuator when the controller determines the occurrence of a decompression event.

LEVER ACTUATED LATCH ASSEMBLY
20190316391 · 2019-10-17 · ·

A latch assembly comprises an outside housing, a door latch, an external lever handle, a plunger, a resilient member, and a handle cam. The handle cam comprises a cam surface juxtaposed against and in sliding relation with a plunger cam surface. The plunger is maintained in the latched position when the external lever handle is in the retracted position by the resilient member, whereby an entry door cannot be unintentionally shifted from the closed position, and the plunger is displaced from the latched position to the unlatched position when the external lever handle is displaced from the retracted position to the extended position by the cam surface of the handle cam bearing against the plunger cam surface, whereby the entry door is free to be shifted from the closed position to the open position.

SAFETY LATCH FOR A DUMP BODY
20190301210 · 2019-10-03 · ·

Safety latch includes an active member having a support; a thrust pin actuator with a movable thrust pin actuator element movable to and fro along an axis; a thrust pin having a proximate end attachable to the movable thrust pin actuator element such that the thrust pin can be moved to and fro along the axis with movement of the movable thrust pin actuator element, and a distal end; and a biasing element to bias the thrust pin in an extended position. Passive member includes a catch with a thrust pin receiving hole. When assembled, and the movable thrust pin actuator element is slid to and fro, at least the distal end of the thrust pin can penetrate into or be withdrawn from the thrust pin receiving hole to close or open the safety latch. It can be attached to a dump body, say, as part of a dump vehicle.

Touch pad lock assembly with clutch system
10378237 · 2019-08-13 · ·

A lock assembly comprises a housing, a handle, and a latch plunger operably connected with the handle. An exterior key lock and interior lock knob have a locked and unlocked position. A lock cam is rotatably and operably connected with the key lock and interior lock knob for rotation therewith. A crank arm of the lock cam is operatively coupled with a deadbolt lock movably mounted in the housing for shifting between a locked position and an unlocked position. The deadbolt lock is also operably coupled with a motor, wherein a motor cam clutch is operably coupled with the motor and operably interposed between the lock cam and the motor, wherein the motor cam clutch allows rotation of the lock cam between the locked and unlocked positions without rotating the motor cam clutch or a motor shaft of the motor.

GLOVE COMPARTMENT

A latch mechanism is configured to be shifted between a closed state in which a glove door is held on a compartment body at a closed position and an open state in which the glove door is not held on the compartment body. An operation lever is operated to shift the lock mechanism from the closed state to the open state. When the latch mechanism is shifted to the closed state, the first engaging member is engaged with the engagement hole. When the latch mechanism is shifted to the open state, the first engaging member is disengaged from the engagement hole. The compartment body includes an operation restriction wall that restricts operation of the first engaging member from the side surface of an instrument panel or the side surface of the compartment body so that the first engaging member is not disengaged from the engagement hole.
