Door for vehicle console

A door for a vehicle console includes first and second cover portions that each have an outer, exposed finished surface. The second cover portion is slidable between closed and open cover positions in which the second cover portion is substantially flush with the first cover portion in the closed cover position and is at least partially lapping the first cover portion in the open cover position. A bi-directional latch is actuatable in first and second opposed directions. Actuation in the first direction locks together the first and second cover portions in either closed or open positions and unlocks the door such that the first and second cover portions are rotatable in unison. Actuation in a second direction releases the first and second cover portions from one another such that the second cover portion is slidable from the closed cover position to the open cover position.

A hook of a lock structure is rotatably supported by a knob. Therefore, a biasing force of a hook biasing spring can be regulated independently from a knob biasing spring. Accordingly, the biasing force of the hook biasing spring can be regulated smaller than a biasing force of the knob biasing spring. As a result, sounds generated when locking the lock structure can be decreased.

The task of the invention is to provide a motor vehicle latching system with an actuator and an electronic component switched in parallel in a technically simple and reliable manner which prevents undesired return movements of the actuator. The task is solved by a latching system with an electrical drive having an electrical plug-in connector component and with an external electrical plug-in connector component (1), which is connected to the electrical plug-in connector component of the electrical drive and which has an electronic braking device for the electrical drive, whereby the external electrical plug-in connector component (1) has two electrical contacts (2, 3) which each have a recess (4) which is open on one side in which an electrical conductor of the electronic braking device is accommodated in each instance.

ELECTROMECHANICAL COMPRESSION LATCH AND LATCHING SYSTEM

Latches assemblies and systems are disclosed. One latch includes a latch and a receiver. The latch has a housing and a pin extending from the housing. The pin is mounted for longitudinal movement along a pin axis. The latch further includes a motor coupled to move the pin longitudinally. The receiver defines an aperture extending along a receiver axis and positioned to receive the pin of the latch. The receiver has a retainer biased toward the receiver axis. The latch assembly has an open position in which the pin is extended distally along the pin axis and received in the aperture, and a latched position in which the pin is retracted proximally along the pin axis while the retainer is engaged with the pin. One latch system includes a plurality of latch assemblies configured to move to the latched position after all latch assemblies are in the open position.

Railcar Door Locking Pin and Receiver

An apparatus includes one or more locking pins coupled to a railcar door of a railcar. Each locking pin includes an inserted portion at a first end of the locking pin. The inserted portion includes a pin taper in the direction towards the first end of the locking pin. The apparatus further includes a first receiver coupled to the railcar. The first receiver defines a recess. The recess comprises a receiver taper compatible with the pin taper. Inserting the inserted portion of a respective one of the one or more locking pins into the recess of the first receiver restricts movement of the railcar door.

A vehicle locking apparatus for a vehicle using a coupling device for the separable connection of a vehicle door to a vehicle structure part, includes a first coupling element with two locking wedges mounted so as to be displaceable parallel to one another and having wedge faces. At least one of the locking wedges is formed with a locking nose on the wedge-side end face, and a second coupling element interacts with the first coupling element. The second coupling has two retaining jaws receiving the first coupling element therebetween with wedge grooves having wedge faces. The locking wedges are pushed via a driving device into the wedge grooves by separation of the wedge faces apart from one other and the locking nose is thereby received in a locking opening arranged in a wedge groove of a retaining jaw.
