Panel lock assembly
An apparatus for locking a panel to a strike jamb includes a synchronous displacement mechanism associated with a locking element (108) which is responsive to part of a closing motion of a panel (104) from an open position towards a closed position to initiate a motion of locking element (108) towards the locked position during the closing motion of the panel prior to the panel reaching its closed position. The synchronous displacement mechanism preferably has a deadlock state when the locking element is in the locked position which prevents displacement of the locking element towards the unlocked position.
Animal enclosure with dual door assembly
An animal enclosure including a plurality of members defining an interior of the enclosure. One of the plurality of members includes a first member having a frame structure and door assembly formed by a plurality of interconnected horizontal and vertical wires. At least two of the horizontal wires of the frame structure form a hook positioned inside the defined opening. The door assembly is coupled to the frame and moves between an open and close positions. The door assembly includes a first door and a second door removably coupled to one another. The enclosure also includes a latch assembly for releasing the door assembly from the frame structure. In the close position, at least one horizontal wire of the first door and at least one horizontal wire of the second door are coupled to the hooks formed by the at least two horizontal wires of the frame structure.
INSTANT CENTER LATCH SYSTEM
A latching device for engaging a striker includes a rotatable locking plate configured for receiving the striker. A linkage is configured to counterbalance the locking plate in a first, latched position. An active material actuator is interconnected with the linkage such that activating the active material actuator moves the linkage out of counterbalance with the locking plate and into a second, unlatched position.
Window vent stop with flexible side engagement pieces
A window vent stop for use in a sliding sash window assembly or a sliding door assembly. The vent stop has a housing adapted to be disposed in a recess in a non-movable sash member. A tumbler has at least one pivot for pivotally securing the tumbler to the housing for movement between an extended position, to prevent movement of a sliding member and a retracted position to allow movement of the sliding member. Also within the housing is a spring for biasing the tumbler. The housing has one or more flexible members extending from the end walls of the housing that secure the housing to an opening in the non-movable sash member.
Blocking structure of anti-fire door lock
A blocking structure of an anti-fire door lock includes a latch set, a blocking pin set and a blocking base, wherein the latch set comprises a lock base and a latch that pivotally connected to the lock base. The blocking pin set disposed in an accommodating hole of the latch comprises a blocking pin and an elastic member, and the blocking base comprises a constraining slot. The elastic member is used for pushing the blocking pin to move and making the blocking pin to lodge into the constraining slot to prevent an anti-fire door from being opened.
Door or other closable panel with lock-actuating linkage
A door or window arrangement has a panel movable relative to an opening bounded by a frame so as to close against a strike jamb or move away from it. A locking element moves between a locked state in which it engages between the panel and the strike jamb to prevent separation of the panel from the strike jamb and a released state in which the panel can be separated from the strike jamb. A linkage is displaced by a terminal part of a closing motion of the panel so that completion of the closing motion can only occur when the locking element assumes its locked state. Preferably, the linkage is deployed so that force applied to displace the panel through the terminal part of the closing motion results in a force applied to the locking element to displace it towards its locked state.
Locking device
A locking device provided with: a striker-contact member (201) which is positioned on a hook (157) and is abutted against a striker being entered the groove (157a) of the hook (157) so as to sandwich the striker in cooperation with the groove (157a) of the hook (157); and a spring (hook-biasing member) (171) that urges the hook (157) in the unlocked position direction via the striker-contact member (201) and that urges the striker-contact member (201) in a direction a direction to be abutted against the striker.
LOCKING PIECE ASSEMBLY FOR LATCH BOLTS
A locking piece assembly adapted for installation in a cylindrical lock and meant to engage a locking mechanism comprises a locking piece and a lock button. The locking piece has one end adapted to engage the locking mechanism and an opposite end with a connecting hook. The lock button has an aperture adapted for attachment to the locking piece connecting hook, and can be depressed to move the locking piece inward to engage the locking mechanism after the locking piece assembly is installed in the cylindrical lock. The lock button can be installed onto the locking piece by hand, specifically by inserting the connecting hook into the aperture on the lock button, pivoting the lock button with respect to the locking piece, and placing the locking piece and lock button into alignment. After installation, the connecting hook is held in place to prevent separation from the lock button aperture.
Sliding door or window latch
A latch includes a protrusion that extends from a latch body. The protrusion moves from a fully extended position to a partially extended position when the door or window to which the latch is mounted is moved to a closed position. This movement of the protrusion disengages an anti-slam mechanism, allowing movement of a latch mechanism. Further, the partially extended protrusion engages in an anti-lift recess in the strike. Alternatively, the protrusion may extend from the strike and engage with an anti-lift recess in the latch body.
Latchbolt mechanism and latchbolt accommodating mechanism
The present invention relates to the field of locks and relates to a latchbolt mechanisms, comprising a rotatable latchbolt (16) and an elastic element (17), wherein the rotatable latchbolt (16) is fixedly mounted on a rotatable pin shaft, round which the rotatable latchbolt rotates, and wherein the elastic element (17) holds the rotatable latchbolt (16) in an extended state. Furthermore, the present invention relates to a latchbolt accommodating mechanism, comprising an accommodating chamber (b1) and a cover plate (b2), wherein a chamber opening of the accommodating chamber is covered by the cover plate, and
wherein a first through hole (b21) and a second through hole (b22) are mounted on the cover plate, wherein the stop block (162) is inserted rotatably into the first through hole (b21) and the rotatable latchbolt (16) is inserted rotatably into the second through hole (b22). Therefore, a rotational unlocking and locking is enabled and is suitable not only for hinged doors, but also for sliding doors. By a rotary movement, actions of door opening and closing are avoided in a usual case.
