INCREMENTAL WINDOW OR DOOR ASSEMBLY
An assembly that allows for incremental displacement of a window or door sash relative to a frame. Such a window or door system may include a handle exposed outside the window or door, retractable pins located on a sash of the window or door and holes on jambs of the window or door. The pins may be inserted into the holes to prevent the window or door from being moved if the handle is not turned. Turning the handle may pull the pins out of the holes and allow the window or door to move. A spring or similar mechanism may cause the pins to return the pins' protruding state when the handle is not being turned. The user may open the window or door to a desired open position by turning the handle and may lock the window or door at the opened position by releasing the handle for the pins to be inserted into corresponding holes for locking.
DOOR LOCKING MECHANISM
A locking system for an enclosure, including a control bracket mounted to a door of the enclosure and configured to slide in a longitudinal direction along a guide rod running through a pin bracket of the control bracket. The control bracket further includes a latching pin to secure the door of the enclosure. A handle mechanism has a push rod that causes the control bracket to slide along the longitudinal direction, also causing the latching pin to move into a position that secures the door.
Lock sensor assembly
A covering (200) for an opening in a building and a sensor assembly (500) is disclosed. The covering (200) comprises a panel (201) moveable between an open position and a closed position, and to an intermediate position between the open position and the closed position. The sensor assembly (500) is configured to sense the position of a locking member (205) of the covering and to transmit signals indicating the position of locking member (205). Methods of installing a sensor assembly (500) on a covering (200) of an opening of a building are also disclosed.
Watertight door or window
A watertight door or window comprising a frame and a leaf mounted on the frame and arranged movably with respect thereto between an open position and closed position, and further comprising: a striker element arranged on the leaf, a locking element arranged on the frame and provided with a hook end designed to engage with the striker element so as to lock the leaf against the frame following closing of the leaf, and a striker actuating mechanism arranged on the leaf and able to be actuated when the leaf is in a closed position and the locking element is engaged with the striker element. The actuating mechanism is provided for releasing the striker element from a closed position, where the striker element is positioned inside a recess in the hook end of the locking element, to an open position, where the striker element is extracted from the recess in the hook end of the locking element. The actuating mechanism can be reset when the leaf is closed again.
CASEMENT WINDOW LOCK BAR
A locking assembly for a casement window including a frame having an elongated surface, comprising a tie bar guide adapted to be mounted on the window frame surface, the tie bar guide having first and second receiving grooves for slideably receiving segments of a tie bar in a tongue and groove manner, and a tie bar adapted to slide axially in a direction parallel to the window frame surface and having a partially curved profile and a cross-section comprising a flat central portion with a first segment comprising a first tongue and a second segment comprising a second tongue, the first and second segments on opposite sides relative to the central portion. The tie bar is slidably received in the tie bar guide such that the tie bar first tongue is received in the tie bar guide first receiving groove and the tie bar second tongue is received in the tie bar guide second receiving groove, to permit the position of the tie bar to be adjusted with respect to the tie bar guide in the longitudinal direction while preventing movement of the tie bar in a direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction. One of the tie bar and tie bar guide has an opening in an exterior surface thereof and the other has a projection extending in a direction of the opening, wherein when the tie bar is slidably received within the tie bar guide, the projection and opening act as a detent to maintain the tie bar guide in a desired position.
Galley cart with multi-capacity support
A galley cart for moving along an aisle of a vehicle is presented, the galley cart comprising a body comprising a right longitudinal portion, a left lateral portion, a rear portion disposed between the right and the left lateral portions on a rear side of the body, a door opening disposed between the right and the left lateral portions on a front side of the body, an upper portion disposed between the right and the left lateral portions, a lower portion disposed between the right and the left lateral portions, wheels attached to the lower portion for supporting the body, a door pivotally attached to the body and adapted to mate with the door opening and a locking mechanism operatively associated with the door for selectively securing the door to the body in a closed position thereof the upper portion of the cart comprising a peripheral frame including a plurality of container-supporting portions.
Sash Lock and Tilt Latch also Functioning as a Window Vent Stop, with Automatic Locking Upon Closure
A sash window fastener includes: a latch assembly; a sash lock assembly mounted upon the meeting rail; and a stop member mounted to the master window frame. The lock assembly includes a pivotable cam to engage a keeper on the master frame to lock the window, and a pivotable follower arm. The arm interconnects with the latch assembly within the meeting rail, so cam rotation that drives arm rotation also causes translation of the latch. The cam may occupy: an extended position to secure the cam to the keeper, with the latch engaging the master frame to prevent tilting, and being positioned below a protrusion on the stop member to redundantly lock the window; a first retracted cam position permitting sliding of the window; and a second retracted position permitting tilting of the sash window. Additional protrusions may be used on the stop member to serve as vent stop positions.
Latching Arrangement
Embodiments of the invention provide a latching arrangement for an enclosure with an enclosure door and an enclosure body. First and second latch members are secured at first and second latch-member locations, respectively, relative to the enclosure door. First and second catch members are secured at first and second catch-member locations relative to the enclosure body. When a handle of the door is moved from a first handle orientation towards a second handle orientation, the first latch member engages the first catch member before the second latch member engages the second catch member.
DEVICE FOR LOCKING A MOVING ELEMENT SUCH AS AN AIRCRAFT DOOR AND AIRCRAFT EQUIPPED WITH SAID LOCKING DEVICE
A locking device which includes a hook and a dual control for locking the hook. The dual control includes a first shaft and a second shaft. The first shaft incorporates a section and is rotationally mobile between a hooked position, in which the section is accommodated in a housing of the hook and an unhooked position, in which the section is outside the housing of the hook. The second shaft incorporates a section and is rotationally mobile between a locked position, in which the section of the second shaft is accommodated in a notch in a flange of the first shaft and an unlocked position, in which the section of the second shaft is outside the notch in the flange of the first shaft.
