Outward swinging door barricade

The emergency egress apparatus includes a protuberance mated to a first portion of the door barricade and a keeper mated to a second portion of the door barricade. A retainer is selectively disposed between one of two positions. A first position defines the placement of the retainer that establishes an interference fit between the protuberance and the keeper. A second position defines the placement of the retainer such that it is not in contact with the protuberance or the keeper. The first position secures the first portion of the door barricaded with respect to the second portion of the door barricade, and the second position decouples the first portion of the door barricade with respect to the second portion of the door barricade.

Inward swinging door barricade

A door barricade apparatus includes a blade with a barb at a distal end and a tang at a proximal end. The barb is configured to be disposed within an aperture of a strike plate. A body has a top and a bottom, and the body is operably coupled to the tang of the blade. A paddle is moveably coupled to the body and is configured to selectively move between a first orientation substantially flush with the top of the body and a second orientation protruding from the top of the body. A handle is coupled to the bottom of the body and is configured to keep a user's fingers away from a door jamb. An actuator is in cooperation with the paddle, and is configured to selectively position the paddle between the first orientation and the second orientation.

The latching assembly is positioned with the post in a door jamb between a sidewall adjacent to a door and a side of the door. The cross member is positioned against a first side of the door after the door is closed, and the keeper member is positioned against a second side of the door after the door is closed, thereby securing the door in a closed configuration with the sidewall adjacent to the door.

The portable door lock includes a horizontal bar that lays across the door and/or the door frame and a strap with one or more holes. The user pulls on the strap, closes the door and inserts a rod through the one or more strap holes so that the rod lays across the door and the frame on the opposite side of the door as the horizontal bar. This action will prevent the door from being opened. A transverse bar may extend from the horizontal bar at approximately 90 degree angle so that the portable door lock is generally in the shape of a L.

When the bathroom-stall door stop is placed between the bathroom-stall door and frame, the bathroom-stall door stop obstructs the hinged connection of a bathroom-stall door which further prevents a user from opening the bathroom-stall door. Furthermore, when the bathroom-stall door stop is placed between the bathroom-stall door and frame, the first panel is positioned adjacent to the exterior of the bathroom-stall door, the second panel is positioned adjacent to the interior of the bathroom-stall door, and the cross plate is positioned adjacent to the hinged connection between the bathroom stall door and frame.
