Inward swinging door barricade
A door barricade apparatus includes a blade with a barb at a distal end and a tang at a proximal end. The barb is configured to be disposed within an aperture of a strike plate. A body has a top and a bottom, and the body is operably coupled to the tang of the blade. A paddle is moveably coupled to the body and is configured to selectively move between a first orientation substantially flush with the top of the body and a second orientation protruding from the top of the body. A handle is coupled to the bottom of the body and is configured to keep a user's fingers away from a door jamb. An actuator is in cooperation with the paddle, and is configured to selectively position the paddle between the first orientation and the second orientation.
ELECTRICAL PANELBOARD GUARD WITH COUPLED MEMBERS
Disclosed herein is a panelboard guard assembly configured to restrict access to a panelboard having a cover and a door defined therein, the cover having first and second side edges. The panelboard guard assembly includes overlapping members that are, at least in some implementations, mutually coupled to each other. The panelboard guard assembly further includes an adjustment mechanism that extends between and couples the members together, the adjustment mechanism facilitating adjustment of the distance between the outer ends of the members.
Door Barrier Device
A door barrier device is provided. The device is comprised of comprised of at least one guide rail that can be attached to a door and a floor plate that can be attached to a floor surface below the guide rail. A plate (preferably made from steel) can then be inserted through the guide rail and into the floor plate (and/or through the floor plate and into the floor surface in one embodiment) to prevent the door from being pushed/kicked open by reinforcing the door. In one embodiment, the plate may also be made from a bulletproof material to further protect a user behind the door.
Door security kit and method for preventing forceful opening of a door
Disclosed is a door security kit comprising (1) a metallic cuboid compartment, (2) a door guard assembly, and (3) an ASA/ANSI modified strike plate, the modified strike plate constructed with a top notch, a bottom notch, and an elongated lip. The metallic compartment further manifests a rear planar panel, having an adjustable channel cutout. A mortise cylinder mounted externally to one surface of the compartment connects to a tailpiece at one end with a keyway extending therethrough. Rotation of the keyway operates the tailpiece and a connected rod, the rod moving metallic plates to control the size of the adjustable channel. Decreasing the length of the adjustable channel causes the channel to clamp onto the notches of the strike plate, preventing movement of the door bolt from its insertion within the modified strike plate. The door, and the strike plate, are both housed and operate within a doorjamb.
Security device for sliding door or sliding window assembly
A security device can be provided to selectively restrict or prevent the opening of a sliding door, sliding window, or other sliding panel or other closure. For example, the security device can include a base plate that selectively engages a barricade member (or lock rail). While the barricade member is engaged with the base plate (in a locked state), the barricade member and base plate cooperate to restrict or prevent the sliding door, window, panel or other closure from moving to an open position (or moving out of a closed position). The barricade member can be moved relative to the base plate (to an unlocked state) to allow unrestricted movement of the sliding door, window, panel or other closure. The security device can include stop members that may restrict or prevent complete removal of the barricade member from the base plate.
Locking bracket for securing a gate to a fence post
The present disclosure relates to a locking bracket for securing two adjacent bodies to one another, in particular for securing a gate to a fence post. The locking bracket comprises a first hoop and a second hoop that, together with the first hoop, surrounds a region for receiving the two adjacent bodies. The hoops respectively have a first end and a second end, wherein they are connected to one another in an articulated manner at their first ends so that the hoops can be pivoted between an open position in which the locking bracket can be arranged around the two adjacent bodies and a closed position in which the hoops together surround the region for receiving the two adjacent bodies. Each of the hoops forms a lug at their free ends, the lug being oriented substantially perpendicular to the second end and having at least one bore.
BUILDING LOCKDOWN SYSTEM
A building lockdown system for a building with multiple rooms with doors providing access to the rooms, the system including smart light fixtures positioned inside and outside at least some of the rooms, at least some of the smart light fixtures configured to be selectively illuminated in each of a plurality of colors, and room lockdown components provided in the plurality of rooms, the room lockdown components adapted to block or secure the doors of the rooms against opening in a deployed condition of the lockdown components. The smart light fixtures and the room lockdown components are equipped with BLE sensors defining a BLE mesh network. The room lockdown components are adapted to communicate, via the BLE mesh network, whether they are in the deployed condition thereof, and are further adapted to provide audio and/or visual signals. At least one primary communication and control (PCC) device is disposed in the building and in communication with at least some of the smart light fixtures via the BLE mesh network. The PCC device receives information via the BLE mesh network as to whether the room lockdown components are in the deployed condition thereof. The PCC device is operative to initiate a lockdown of all or part of the building by effecting a change in the color of at least some of the smart light fixtures via the BLE mesh network and/or effecting the activation of audio and/or visual signals from the room lockdown components.
WEATHER WINDOW STOP DEVICE AND METHOD
A weather window stop device for a vehicle during a window regulator failure. The weather window stop device includes at least one alloy strap including a first end, a second end, a plurality of bends, and a plurality of fasteners, wherein the device is configured to be removably affixable to a vehicle window to provide a securing means in the event of a window regulator failure.
Electrical panelboard guard
Disclosed herein is a panelboard guard assembly configured to restrict access to a panelboard having a cover and a door defined therein, the cover having first and second side edges. The panelboard guard assembly includes a first strap, a second strap and an adjusting mechanism. The first strap has a first outer end and a first inner end. The second strap has a second outer end and a second inner end. The adjusting mechanism extends between and couples the first strap and the second strap at the first and second inner ends.
Suction cup child restraint lock for sliding doors/windows
A child restraint device for preventing children from opening sliding doors or sliding windows, the device having a suction cup on each end of a handle, the suction cups being adapted to be attached to sliding door or sliding window panes that are disposed in different planes.
