A stop extends from the hinge arm. A second pivot member has a receiving space that receives the stop. The second pivot member includes a second protrusion that is in abutting contact with the first protrusion. A lower hinge pin extends through the lower hinge support and the second pivot member. The lower hinge pin is vertically translated when the second pivot member moves from a first position to a second position.

A flip hinge for a motor vehicle includes an inner strap affixed to a body of the motor vehicle, an outer strap separate from the inner strap and affixed to a removable panel of the motor vehicle, and an intermediate link extending from the inner strap to the outer strap. The intermediate link is rotatably attached to the inner strap at a first link end by a spring-loaded pivot. The intermediate link is rotatably attached to the outer strap at a second link end by an outer strap pivot. The intermediate link is movable between at least a first position and a second position. The spring-loaded pivot biases the intermediate link towards the second position whenever the intermediate link is not in the first position, and the outer strap is separable from the intermediate link only when the intermediate link is in the first position.

A system and method for removable or semi-permanent installation of a transparent organic lighting diode (TOLED) display with transparency control are disclosed. In one embodiment, the system includes a TOLED display that includes a TOLED panel with a front side and a back side, a cover glass coupled to the front side of the TOLED panel, and an electrochromic (EC) glass coupled to the back side of the TOLED panel to provide transparency control of the TOLED panel. The system further includes a top hinge assembly and a bottom hinge assembly used to rotatably couple the TOLED display to a support structure to facilitate rotation of the TOLED display to different positions and to provide relatively easy removal of the TOLED display.

A pivot assembly for supporting a pivot door within a door frame includes a bottom bracket and a lower adjustment assembly that includes a pivot member. The pivot member includes a ramp inclined at an angle to a rotation axis, and a traveling assembly positionable along the ramp of the pivot member. The traveling assembly includes a traveling body, a dowel adapted to move along the ramp, and a threaded adjustment rod. The lower adjustment assembly also includes a locking fastener that is adjustable between a locked configuration and an unlocked configuration. In the unlocked configuration, rotation of the adjustment rod causes movement of the traveling assembly vertically relative to the pivot member, thereby permitting a beam of the pivot door to move vertically relative to the pivot member.

The latch is configured to be in the unlocked position when the vehicle hinge assembly is in a first substantially upright orientation, and the latch is configured to be in the locked position when the vehicle hinge assembly is in a second substantially upside-down orientation.
