Adjustable hinge repair assembly
A replacement door hinge that facilitates the repair of a damaged door slab is provided. The replacement hinge includes a jamb side that is essentially the same as a conventional hinge to allow traditional mounting into the recess provided in the jamb for hinges. The slab side of the hinge is formed by a pair of opposing hinge leaves that are received on opposing sides of the door slab and include inwardly facing spikes and at least one or more countersunk screw holes to allow fastening therethrough to use screws in combination with the spikes to firmly engage the door slab. The leaves include a ratcheting retention system that engage at the edge of the door slab to allow installation onto door slabs having varying thicknesses while holding the front a back leaves together to form one unit that wraps and reinforces the door slab.
HINGE FOR AN ITEM OF FURNITURE
The invention relates to a hinge for an item of furniture, comprising a first and a second hinge part (100, 200) that are pivotably interconnected by means of a hinged connection, the second hinge part (200) carrying or comprising a mounting element (300), the mounting element (300) comprising at least one guide assembly comprising at least one guide (405) that extends in the direction of a longitudinal axis (L) of the mounting element (300),
the mounting element (300) being connected to a retaining part (400) when in the mounting position, and the guide assembly acting between the mounting element (300) and the retaining part (400), by means of which guide assembly the mounting element (300) can be moved into a mounting position in a manner guided in the guide direction. A significant improvement in the ease of mounting is achieved in a hinge of this kind if the guide assembly comprises a first centering guide (406), by means of which the mounting element (300) is aligned in a first mounting direction when adjusted in the guide direction (L).
Kit for Defining a Recess for a Single or Multi-way Joint
A multi-panel kit defining one or more recesses for a structural joint. The kit including first and second panels for respectively defining first and second faces of the one or more recesses in use. One or more intermediate panels, each defining an intermediate face of at least one, of the one or more recesses in use, and one or more pairs of slots, each comprising a first slot through the first panel and a second slot through the second panel. The one or more recesses are intermediate the first and second panels, and the intermediate faces of each recess extending between the first and second faces of that recess. Each pair of slots is for receiving one of the one or more intermediate panels in use, and each of the one or more intermediate panels includes a first notch and a second notch for receiving an edge of the first slot and an edge of the second slot of a pair of slots respectively in use.
CONTINUOUS LOCKING HINGE ASSEMBLIES AND FOLDING DOOR ASSEMBLIES INCLUDING THE SAME
A continuous hinge includes first and second leaves, an upper pivot, and a lower pivot. The first leaf is configured to secure to a first panel and the second leaf is configured to secure to a second panel. The first and second leaves each have an uppermost end adjacent a top end of the respective panel and a lowermost end adjacent a bottom end of the respective panel. The upper pivot is formed between the first and second leaves adjacent the uppermost ends thereof. The lower pivot is formed between the first and second leaves adjacent the lowermost ends thereof. The first and second leaves are configured to pivot relative to one another between a closed position in which the first and second panels are aligned on edges with one another and an open position in which the first and second panels are out of alignment with one another.

CONTINUOUS LOCKING HINGE ASSEMBLIES AND FOLDING DOOR ASSEMBLIES INCLUDING THE SAME
An adjustable hinge includes a first body, a second body, and an adjustment mechanism. The first body and the second body are each configured to secure to a mounting edge of a door panel. The first and second bodies are pivotally coupled to each other. The adjustable hinge has a closed position in which the first body and the second body are configured to support the first and second door panels such that an inside face of each door panel is coplanar with the other and an open position in which the inside faces are opposed to one another. The adjustment mechanism is disposed in the first body or the second body and is configured to increase or decrease a gap defined between the mounting edge of the first door panel and the mounting edge of the second door panel when the adjustable hinge is in the closed position.
Hinge assembly for an appliance lid and installation method therefor
A laundry appliance includes a cabinet having a top panel that defines an aperture for selectively accessing a treatment chamber defined within the cabinet. A lid is rotationally operable relative to the aperture of the top panel between open and closed positions. Hinge assemblies extend between the lid and the top panel. The hinge assemblies include a first hinge assembly. A second hinge assembly is selectively retractable into the lid to a retracted position. A biasing member biases the second hinge assembly out to an extended position. At least the second hinge assembly is operable to the retracted position to bypass a portion of the top panel to define an installed position where the first and second hinge assemblies are engaged with respective hinge receptacles of the top panel.
