Bi-fold door latch assembly and floor anchor assembly
A bi-fold door is opened with a lift assembly having a plurality of straps attached to power driven lift drums. A latch assembly retains the closed bi-fold door secure to side columns of a building. The latch assembly has a latch strap attached to a latch drum that accommodates the latch strap to hold the closed bi-fold door in contact with the side columns of the building. A floor anchor assembly anchors the bottom of the closed bi-fold door to the floor below the closed bi-fold door to stabilize and inhibit bending and deformation of the bi-fold door frame.
ACTUATING DRIVE FOR DRIVING A MOVABLY MOUNTED FURNITURE PART
An actuating drive for driving a movably mounted furniture part comprises an actuating arm connecting to the furniture part. The actuating arm is designed to be movable between a first and a second end position, and a damper is provided for damping a movement of the actuating arm into the first end position and a movement of the actuating arm into the second end position. The damper performs a damping stroke during the damping, and a coupling mechanism is provided for coupling the actuating arm or an actuating part connectable thereto to the damper if the movements of the actuating arm into the two end positions. The coupling mechanism has an actuator for performing the damping stroke of the damper, and the actuator acts on the damper when the actuating arm is moved into the first end position and when the actuating arm is moved into the second end position.
DOOR FLOOR ANCHOR ASSEMBLY
A bi-fold door is opened with a lift assembly having a plurality of straps attached to power driven lift drums. A latch assembly retains the closed bi-fold door secure to side columns of a building. The latch assembly has a latch strap attached to a latch drum that accommodates the latch strap to hold the closed bi-fold door in contact with the side columns of the building. A floor anchor assembly anchors the bottom of the closed bi-fold door to the floor below the closed bi-fold door to stabilize and inhibit bending and deformation of the bi-fold door frame.
LIFTING APPARATUS FOR A FLEXIBLE DIVIDER
A lifting apparatus is provided. The lifting apparatus includes a lifting cable supported relative to the ceiling structure, the lifting cable extending along a vertical direction and attaching to a lift point on the flexible divider. The lifting cable is retractable in the vertical direction to lift the flexible divider from a lowered configuration to a raised configuration. The lifting apparatus further includes a guiding element for guiding a position of the lifting cable along a horizontal direction while the flexible divider moves between the lowered configuration and the raised configuration. The guiding element is movably mounted to the ceiling structure to move between a first horizontal position when the flexible divider is in the lowered configuration, and a second horizontal position when the flexible divider is in the raised configuration.
Folding doors with receiving channel and locking clip
An apparatus including a receiving channel and a locking clip for securing a folding door in a closed configuration. The receiving channel is mounted to a side of a door frame associated with a closed configuration of the folding door. The locking clip is mounted to the leading edge of the folding door. The locking clip includes sides that extend past sides of the leading edge of the folding door so as to create a ledge on each side thereof. The receiving channel includes cleats on inner walls thereof. The cleats engage the ledges to secure the locking clip within the receiving channel in a closed configuration. The locking clip may be mounted to a center of the leading edge. The receiving channel may traverse substantially the height of the door frame.
OVERHEAD BI-FOLD DOOR
An overhead bi-fold door mounted on a freestanding header has a door lift device with polymer cylindroids and capstans operated with an electric motor driven power transmission to selectively move the bi-fold door from an upright closed position to a folded open position and allow the bi-fold door to move from the folded open position to the upright closed position. Anchors mounted on the bi-fold door adjust the working length of the cylindroids between the capstans and anchors. The capstans have laterally spaced disks engageable with the cylindroids during the helical winding and unwinding of the cylindroid on the capstans as the bi-fold door moves at an increasing rate of speed from the upright closed to folded open positions and a decreasing rate of speed from the folded open to upright closed positions.
Bi-fold door latch assembly
A latch assembly connected to the drive unit of a bi-fold door for retaining the bi-fold door secure to a building has elongated straps attached to rotatable latch drums mounted on the outer ends of the drive shaft of the drive unit. Lift drums powered by a motor driven gearbox raise and lower the bi-fold door. Latch assemblies having springs attached to the straps maintain tension on the straps during the opening and closing of the bi-fold door.
Earthquake resisting door
An earthquake resisting door has locking mechanisms between the door panel top, sides, and the bottom foundation. Included are self-contained limited uplift resisting end posts, one or more door panels made of wood, steel, or other suitable material that can act as a shear wall or brace frame, and segmented door panels that can be designed for roll-up or folding. The segments interlock to create one solid wall or arrangement of segments that creates brace frame action. An inter-locking mechanism engages adjacent door leaves in a casement arrangement and creates one panel.
BI-FOLD DOOR LATCH ASSEMBLY
A latch assembly connected to the drive unit of a bi-fold door retains the bi-fold door in engagement with upright columns of a building with elongated straps attached to the upright columns and rotatable latch drums mounted on a drive shaft of a drive unit. Lift devices powered by the drive unit raise and lower the bi-fold door. Latch assemblies include springs that maintain tension on the straps during the opening and closing of the bi-fold door.
Piece of Furniture, in Particular a Cabinet Unit
Piece of furniture, in particular a cabinet unit, having a furniture body which comprises side walls, a base and a cover wall and which can be closed and opened by means of a folding door arrangement 1 which has at least two folding door elements 2, 3 which can be pivoted towards one another about a horizontal pivot axis during an opening operation of the folding door arrangement 1 and can be pivoted away from one another about the horizontal pivot axis during a closing operation of the folding door arrangement 1, wherein one 3 of the at least two folding door elements 2, 3 is movably guided in the course of its opening pivoting movement along vertically oriented sliding guides 10 and the at least two folding door elements 2, 3 can be transferred into a substantially horizontally oriented raised opening intermediate position, from which they are movable through a horizontally oriented movement translationally along horizontal guides 14 into their opening end position within the furniture body, wherein at least one of the at least two folding door elements 2, 3 is movable into its raised opening intermediate position by a first motor drive 11 and from the opening intermediate position into its opening end position by a second motor drive 12.
