11486184 · 2022-11-01 · ·

A passage gate for allowing or preventing people to enter or to exit a passage area comprising a base portion (110) and a panel portion (120) is provided. The passage gate (100) is configured to be driven in a first operation mode and a second operation mode. When the passage gate (100) is driven in the first operation mode the panel portion (120) is slidable relative the base portion (110) between a first open position, allowing people to pass, and a closed position preventing people from passing through the passage gate (100). When the passage gate (100) is driven in the second operation mode the base portion (110) is rotatable between the closed position and a second open position for achieving a larger passage area.

System and method for providing an air quality alert to an occupant of a host vehicle

A system and method are described for providing an air quality alert to an occupant of a host vehicle. The system includes a communication unit adapted to be mounted in the host vehicle and configured to receive a wireless vehicle-to-x communication comprising an air quality value associated with a geographic area outside the host vehicle. The system also includes a controller adapted to be mounted in the vehicle and provided in communication with the communication unit. The controller is configured to generate an air quality alert control signal operative to provide an air quality alert to the occupant of the host vehicle based on a relationship of the air quality value to an air quality threshold value.

Door closing device

An apparatus comprises a base plate configured to be coupled to a door, the door configured to be positioned in an open position and a closed position; a closing mechanism coupled to the base plate and configured to be coupled to a hinge of the door and having an unprimed state and a primed state, the closing mechanism configured to be transitioned between the unprimed state and the primed state by a user; wherein in the unprimed state the closing mechanism is decoupled from operation of the door; and in the primed state the closing mechanism is configured to move the door into the closed position responsive to receipt of a signal, and the closing mechanism is configured to allow movement of the door between the open position and the closed position in absence of the signal.

The present invention relates to a garage door emergency ventilation system primarily comprised of at least one track, at least one screen assembly, and at least one control module. The system can be attached to a panel of a garage door, wherein the control module has at least one sensor that preferably detects carbon monoxide. Once the sensor has detected carbon monoxide above a threshold value, the control module communicates with a motor to retract a fastener from an inner track within the track that is attached to the screen assembly. At the same time, the control module communicates with a garage door opener of the garage door to open the garage door. The screen assembly falls downward to cover the opening left by the opened garage door. The screen assembly further prevents individuals from getting into the garage while allowing carbon monoxide gas to vent from the garage.

A pneumatic release system has an inlet arranged to be connected, in use, to a supply of pressurised fluid, and an outlet arranged, to be connected, in use, to an end device. The system defines therethrough, a flow path for fluid from the inlet to the outlet. The system includes a piston mounted in and axially moveable relative to a cylinder, the inlet and outlet defined in the cylinder. The piston has a piston end on which are mounted upper and lower seals and is biased to a first closed position, in which the upper and lower seals define a chamber within the cylinder to retain pressurised fluid from the inlet, the upper seals preventing flow of the fluid from the chamber to the outlet, and wherein an external force applied to the piston moves the upper seals away from sealing engagement with the cylinder.

Device and method for controlling vehicle

A device for controlling a vehicle is provided. The device includes an input device for receiving a user input, a state sensing device for sensing a vehicle state change in response to the user input, and a controller configured to determine whether to apply a driving current of an actuator to a switching device based on the vehicle state change.

GARAGE DOOR OPENERS AND METHODS OF OPERATING GARAGE DOORS
20230151671 · 2023-05-18 ·

Garage door openers and methods of operating garage doors to reduce the risk of carbon monoxide poisoning. Such a garage door opener includes a motor unit configured to raise and lower an overhead garage door of a garage functionally coupled thereto, and an carbon monoxide (CO) detector that detects and measures a concentration of carbon monoxide gas in the garage. The CO detector directly delivers a signal to the motor unit in response to the detected concentration of carbon monoxide gas exceeding a predetermined CO threshold level for at predetermined duration, so that the garage door opener raises the overhead garage door with the motor unit.
