GARAGE DOOR OPENERS AND METHODS OF OPERATING GARAGE DOORS
Garage door openers and methods of operating garage doors to reduce the risk of carbon monoxide poisoning. Such a garage door opener includes a motor unit configured to raise and lower an overhead garage door of a garage functionally coupled thereto, and an carbon monoxide (CO) detector that detects and measures a concentration of carbon monoxide gas in the garage. The CO detector directly delivers a signal to the motor unit in response to the detected concentration of carbon monoxide gas exceeding a predetermined CO threshold level for at predetermined duration, so that the garage door opener raises the overhead garage door with the motor unit.
Vehicle
An embodiment vehicle includes an emergency light, a plurality of detectors, a communication device, and a processor configured to determine whether the vehicle is in a normal state based on detection information of the plurality of detectors when the emergency light is in a turned-on state, determine a turning-on cause of the emergency light based on current location information received by the communication device when it is determined that the vehicle is in the normal state, and control the communication device to transmit guide information corresponding to the determined turning-on cause of the emergency light to an external device.

Microparticle detection device and security gate
In a conventional fine particle detection device that vaporizes fine particles attached to the object of examination by heating, processing capability decreases as the processing time elapses due to the influence of deposition of fine particles other than the object of examination, dirt/dust, a residue of the fine particles as the object of examination, or residual matter. A fine particle detection device according to the present invention includes: a vaporization device that vaporizes the fine particles trapped by a trap device by vaporization or decomposition; a first flow passageway in which a mixture of a component vaporized by the vaporization device and another component flows; a second flow passageway branching from the first flow passageway in a direction of inertial force acting on the other component; a third flow passageway branching from the first flow passageway in a direction different from the direction of the inertial force; and an analysis device that analyzes a component introduced into the third flow passageway.

Monitoring system to identify unregistered persons entering premises and to secure rooms containing registered occupants
The disclosed embodiments provide an improved monitoring and security system to identify the presence of persons within a premises, to track the relative location of the person as he or she traverse the premises, and to generate an alert and optionally enter a lockdown mode if the person does not possess a pre-registered computing device or wireless transceiver. In the lockdown mode, doors optionally can be shut and locked through remote or local control or automatically if the distance between the person and the particular door falls below a predetermined threshold.

System for causing garage door opener to open garage door and method
A system and a method for causing a garage door to open using a garage door opener having a wireless receiver is provided. The system comprises an interface coupled to an environment sensor and configured to receive data from the environment sensor. The system can include processing electronics coupled to the interface and configured to receive the data from the interface and to use the received data to determine whether an environmental condition exists. The processing electronics provide a command to cause the garage door opener to open the garage door based on the determination of whether the environmental condition exists.

Carbon monoxide detection assembly
A carbon monoxide detection assembly includes a detection unit that may be positioned in an enclosed area. The detection unit includes a carbon monoxide sensor to detect carbon monoxide in the enclosed area. A remote unit is in electrical communication with a garage door opener and the detection unit. The remote unit turns the garage door opener on when the carbon monoxide sensor detects carbon monoxide. A valve is fluidly coupled to a fuel source for a gas appliance and the valve is in electrical communication with the detection unit. The valve restricts the fuel from flowing to the gas appliance when the detection unit detects carbon monoxide. A communication unit is in electrical communication with an emergency responder and the detection unit. The communication unit alerts the emergency responder that carbon monoxide has been detected in the enclosed area.
