AUTOMATIC SLIDING DOOR
20180274277 · 2018-09-27 ·

An automatic sliding door has a rail, a reset component, a pulley set, and a door panel. The rail is mounted on a top surface of a door frame. The reset component is mounted on a first end of the rail and is fixed to the door frame. The pulley set is slidably mounted in the rail, and a bottom end of the pulley set extends out of the rail. The door panel is mounted at the bottom of the pulley set, and the pulley set drives the door panel to slide.

BACK DOOR STRUCTURE

A back door structure includes a first arm, a second arm, a damper stay, and a supporting member. The first arm is fixed to an upper section of a vehicle body rear section, and is fixed to an upper section of a back door. The second arm is fixed to the upper section of the vehicle body rear section, and is fixed to the upper section of the back door. The damper stay is fixed to the back door, is fixed to the vehicle body, and biases the back door in an opening direction. The supporting member is fixed to the second arm, is fixed to the back door, and biases the second arm substantially toward a vehicle upper side in a fully closed state of the back door.

VARIABLE HINGE AND METHOD OF ADJUSTING THE SAME
20180223574 · 2018-08-09 ·

A hinge includes a first hinge member including a first barrel, a second hinge member including a first end barrel opposite a second end barrel, a spring having a first axially extending end and a second axially extending end opposite the first axially extending end, a spring tensioner having a first depression for receiving the first axially extending end of the spring and a second depression for receiving a driver. A retainer is coupled to the spring tensioner and includes an opening that is penetrable by the driver when the driver is being received in the second depression. A method of adjusting the hinge includes compressing an end of the spring and twisting the same.

A CLOSURE MECHANISM

A display case includes a housing partially surrounding a display space, a door pivotably coupled to the housing and cooperating with the housing to further enclose the display space, and a hinge assembly for pivotably coupling the door to the housing. The hinge assembly includes a biasing member applying a biasing force on the door and a gear drive for adjusting a pre-tension force on the biasing member.

Power tool to spring torsioner converter
09957744 · 2018-05-01 ·

A device to apply a rotational force to a spring of a rollup or overhead garage door counterbalancing mechanism. The device has a rotatable driven member mounted in a housing. The housing and the driven member have slots with an open end adapted to receive the shaft of the overhead garage door counterbalancing mechanism. A coupling member is configured to mount to the driven member and connect the driven member to the winding cone of a garage door spring to apply rotational force to the spring. The housing with the driven member may be connected to the body of an existing power tool in place of the original tool head, or, the housing may be permanently combined with a motor and transmission to provide a special purpose tool.

WINDING DEVICE AND METHODS
20240376758 · 2024-11-14 ·

A winding device for adjusting the elastic energy of an overhead door spring system installed on a wall structure, the door having at least a door panel which can be moved up and down constrained within a track. The door also has a counterbalance system with a coil spring having a stationary end and a winding end. The door system also has a central shaft held within the counterbalance system. The winding device has a worm gear with a flange, or collar portion, a worm screw engaged by the worm gear, a box or container or a retainer to hold the worm gear and worm screw together in an engagement status. The worm gear is engaged with the central shaft by at least one fastener. It can also be used to lift said door directly when said spring is broken, or there is no spring at all.

Automotive door hinge with door close assist
12139951 · 2024-11-12 · ·

An automotive door hinge comprises first and second brackets mountable selectively to one of the door and the body. A cam element, non-rotationally mounted to the second bracket, comprises a cam surface adapted to engage with a cam follower non-rotationally housed within a first housing of the first bracket. An energy storage means respectively stores and releases energy when the cam follower longitudinally translates within the first housing in a first direction and then in a second direction opposite the first direction. Relative rotation of the first bracket in relation to the second bracket within a predetermined angular range causes longitudinal translation of the cam follower, wherein as the door is closed, the cam follower engages the cam surface and translates longitudinally in the second direction whereby the energy stored by the energy storage means is released to assist door closure.

LIFTING SYSTEM FOR LEAVES OF FURNITURE
20180058123 · 2018-03-01 · ·

A lifting system for leaves of furniture that oscillate about at least one horizontal axis comprises a supporting body which can be connected to a fixed portion of the piece of furniture, a system of articulated levers with a first lever and a second lever which connect the supporting body to a leaf of the piece of furniture, and elastic actuation elements which are functionally connected to the system of articulated levers in order to generate a rotation torque for the system of levers; the lifting system further comprises elements for increasing the rotation torque which cooperate with the elastic actuation elements in order to increase the rotation torque at least along a portion of the oscillation in the direction for opening the leaf that includes the raised position of the leaf.

Hinged Top Door For Trailer

A top-loadable cargo trailer has one or more top doors mounted to a container using hinge assemblies which are located entirely within a perimeter of the container when the top door is closed. In this way, no part of the full width, length, or height of the container is taken up by overhanding hinges, and in jurisdictions limiting container width, length, and height no amount of container volume is sacrificed due to hinge overhang. The hinge assemblies have a compound, or dual hinge biased by a resistance mechanism such as a coil spring to provide an orderly opening and closing sequence of the top door. When fully open, the top door hangs vertically flush against the container wall, thus minimize hazard to works and equipment moving about the container.
