Force mapping for automated window mechanism
An automated window mechanism having a motor and a force measuring component. A movement path is defined for the window movement relative to a window frame. The force-measuring component measures the force required to move the window along the movement path. The force required is stored as a force map and is a function of position along the path. Deviations from the force map cause the motor to take measures which may include stopping the motor.
System For Facilitating Access to a Secured Area
A movable barrier operator comprising a motor, communication circuitry configured to receive a control signal and communicate with a door lock associated with a passageway door, and a controller. The controller is configured to authenticate the control signal, wherein authenticating the control signal includes associating the signal with a first level of access or a second level of access. The controller is further configured to communicate with the door lock via the communication circuitry to permit opening of the passageway door in response to associating the control signal with the first level of access and inhibit opening of the passageway door in response to associating the control signal with the second level of access. The controller is configured to cause the motor to open the movable barrier regardless of association of the control signal with the first level of access or the second level of access.
REMOTE MONITORING AND CONTROL OF MOVABLE BARRIER STATUS
A system for moving a barrier includes a motor with an integrated encoder operative to generate pulses as a function of rotation of the rotatable shaft of the motor. A preferred form of encoder is a rotary optical encoder to generate optical pulses as a function of rotational movement of the rotatable shaft. Both a microcontroller to determine door status and a controller to control door movement receive the pulses and separately execute methods in response thereto.
Vehicle and Control Method Thereof
An embodiment vehicle includes a tailgate, a tailgate opening and closing device, a travelling device, an object detection sensor, and a controller configured to, in response to receiving an opening signal for the tailgate while the vehicle is parked, determine a distance to an obstacle located at a rear of the vehicle based on an output of the object detection sensor, and in response to the distance being greater than or equal to a predetermined dangerous distance, control the tailgate opening and closing device to open the tailgate, or in response to the distance being less than the predetermined dangerous distance, control the travelling device to move the vehicle by a predetermined movement distance in a reverse direction of a parking path and control the tailgate opening and closing device to open the tailgate after the vehicle moves by the predetermined movement distance.
Control apparatus for vehicle opening/closing body
A control apparatus for a vehicle opening/closing member that operates the opening/closing member provided in the vehicle in response to a physical expression of a user, having a user authentication unit that authenticates a user whose physical expression is to be detected, a physical expression detecting unit that detects the physical expression of the user, an operation determining unit that determines an operating state of at least one of the user authentication unit and the physical expression detecting unit, and a notification unit that sends notification that, in accordance with a determination result of the operating state determined by the operation determining unit, the user has been authenticated, the detection of the physical expression has been completed, or the detection of the physical expression has failed.
Door driving device
A door driving device includes a driving unit driving a door that opens and closes an entrance of a vehicle having a door case, and a control unit controlling the driving unit such that the door moves with a discontinuous acceleration during a period from when the door starts to open to when the door moves at a constant speed in an opening direction in which the door is retracted into the door case.
Door operator
A door operator and a method for moving a door leaf between a closed and open position utilize a drive unit, a control unit, and a supervise unit. The drive unit is connected to and moves the door leaf between the open and closed position. The control unit is connected to and controls the movement of the drive unit. The supervise unit includes a status management unit and one or more sensors that provide sensor data associated with an operation of the door leaf. The status management unit receives the sensor data from the one or more sensors, determines a status pattern from a plurality of status patterns of the operation of the door leaf at least based on the sensor data, with a first status pattern being associated with a status event, and triggers the status event in response to the first status pattern.
Partial-opening system for a motor vehicle opening leaf
A partial-opening system for a motor vehicle opening leaf includes an actuator having a fixed frame mounted on the opening leaf and an actuating element moveable between a retracted position in which the opening leaf is in a closed position, and a deployed position in which a free end of the actuating element is adapted to bear on the central pillar in order to partially open the opening leaf. The system further includes a device for retaining the opening leaf having a retaining end-piece arranged at the free end of the actuating element of the actuator and a retaining element adapted to be mounted on the central pillar of the vehicle, the retaining device adapted to maintain the opening leaf in its retracted position and to release the opening leaf in the case of an opening action on the opening leaf on the part of the user.
System and method for opening and closing vehicle door
A method for opening and closing a door of a vehicle may include receiving a signal indicative of either opening or closing the vehicle door, determining whether the opening or closing will be performed by an operator or via a powered actuator based on the signal, and generating, if the opening or closing will be performed by the powered actuator, a first control signal indicative of a first position to which the door is to be moved. The method may further include controlling the powered actuator to cause the door to move from an original position to the first position.
Vehicle comprising a door opening warning system
A vehicle includes a door, an inside door handle, and a door opening warning system having an object sensor that detects an object outside the vehicle in a door collision risk zone, a touchless sensor that detects if a part of a user is positioned in an opening zone at the inside door handle and a touch sensor that detects if the user touches the inside door handle, and a control unit. The control unit triggers a first alarm if the object sensor detects an object in the risk zone and the touchless sensor detects a part of the user in the opening zone at the inside door handle, and triggers a second alarm if the object sensor detects an object in the risk zone and the touch sensor detects that the user is touching the inside door handle.
