SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR VEHICLE INTERIOR PROTECTION FROM PRECIPITATION
Systems and methods are provided for preventing damage to a vehicle interior due to precipitation. The systems can include a location module, window control module, and rain sensor all communicatively linked to a processor. In the event a vehicle's windows are determined to be down, the processor can determine the likelihood of precipitation in the area of the vehicle's location. If precipitation is likely, the processor causes the rain sensor to be powered. If the rain sensor indicates the presence of precipitation, the processor directs the window control module to close the vehicle's windows.
FLOOD PROTECTION FOR UNDERGROUND AIR VENTS
Apparatus for allowing ventilation as usual for underground tunnels through a ventilation shaft opening to atmosphere yet preventing underground flooding from surface waters pouring through the grate, comprises an assembly that fits within the ventilation shaft and includes one or more panels held in an upright home position that allows ventilation as usual but is releasable to rotationally gravitate to a lower sealing position closing a passage between the ventilation shaft and atmosphere to prevent water from entering the underground tunnels. A panel position indicator moves from a hidden position to a visible position with lowering of the panels to visually signify that the panels are lowered and that flooding protection is activated.
Apparatus and method for controlling opening and closing of vehicle windows
An apparatus and a method for controlling an opening and closing of vehicle windows are provided. The method includes receiving, by a controller, an open signal for at least one window disposed within the vehicle. Further, the controller detects a rainfall at an exterior of the vehicle using a sensor and opens and closes the windows based on the open signal and the detected rainfall.
SELF-INFLATING FLOOD BARRIER
An inflatable barrier (10) including a wall member (12) which includes at least one inflatable element, and at least one frame member (22), the frame member (22) including a guide formation (16), the at least one guide formation (16) including a channel in which at least a part of a corresponding guide member (24), which is carried by the wall member (12), is receivable, wherein in use, at least a part of the guide member (24) is able to travel along the channel of the guide formation (16), to at least assist in erecting the wall member (16) from an inactive position to an in use position.
VEHICLE FRONT DOOR POWER OPENING SYSTEM
A system for a vehicle includes: a door; an electric actuating motor that opens and closes the door, the electric actuating motor configured for actuating at a hinge of the door; a push-open actuator mounted at a rear of the door, the push-open actuator configured for pushing against a body of the vehicle; and a wireless device configured for communications to the vehicle. A system for a vehicle includes: a front door; a rear door behind the front door, the rear door having a dual-hinge design that opens and closes in a substantially vertical direction; an electric actuating motor that opens and closes the front door, the electric actuating motor configured for actuating at a hinge of the front door; and a wireless device configured for communications to the vehicle.
Overhead garage door system with sealing feature
A threshold sealing system for a door panel assembly includes a threshold biasing element and an anchor. The threshold biasing element including a base configured to attach to a floor surface and a biasing surface extending at an oblique angle relative to the base. The anchor is configured to secure the base of the threshold biasing element to the floor. The anchor and the threshold biasing element may be integrally formed and include the same materials. The oblique angle of the biasing surface ranges from 70 degrees to 80 degrees and has a height of at least 1.5 inches.
Sealed locking fixture
A locking fixture that has a housing (1) with a male thread, that can be installed in a hole in a door or a mounting plate (13), in the housing bore (34) of which, an actuator shaft (2) with limited rotation that has a locking tongue (9) on its exposed end is supported such that it can be rotated by means of an actuating section (12) formed on the actuator shaft (2), and has a screw sleeve (7) with a female thread, which secures the locking fixture to the door or mounting plate (13), wherein, in obtaining a hygienic design, the actuator shaft (2) is sealed at both ends where it passes through the housing (12) and the rotation limiter (5, 16, 23, 24) is located in the sealed housing bore (34).
Wire regulator
A task is to provide a wire regulator that can prevent a wire and a guide rail from rusting and prevent an operation failure of the wire regulator. A first rain water guide part 170 that prevents rain water from entering an ascending wire end housing part 157, a descending wire end housing part 163 and a gutter part 161 is provided at a part above a lower end of the ascending wire end housing part 157 of a slider 103, and the first rain water guide part 170 includes first eaves 171, and second eaves 173 that overlap the first eaves 171 on a lower side of the first eaves 171 and in a drop direction R of the rain water.
Roof system
A vehicle roof system comprises a stationary part configured to be attached to a fixed roof and guide rails extending in longitudinal direction substantially parallel to opposite sides of a roof opening. A semi-transparent panel closes the roof opening and has a drain channel for draining water seeping past at least one edge of the panel. A rollo assembly includes a rollo cloth having a first edge connected to a winding shaft, and a second opposite edge to which a beam is connected and opposite lateral edges guided in the guide rails. The cloth is wound onto the winding shaft and wound off to uncover or cover the panel at least partly from below. At least a part of the channel extends transversely within the path of the cloth and comprises a first sliding surface in contact with the cloth to guide it when it is wound up or off.
ELECTRICAL SYSTEM FOR OPENING A WINDOW AND MOTOR VEHICLE
Described is an electrical system (1) for opening a window (2) comprising a window winder device (3) for moving a window (2) of a motor vehicle being raised and/or lowered, and an electrical control unit (4). The electrical opening system (1) also comprises an emergency system comprising a watertight electric motor (5), an auxiliary watertight battery (6) and a watertight electric switch (7). The electric switch (7) is configured for switching said electrical opening system (1) at least in two operating configurations.
